The Communications Intern will directly assist the Communications Officer with management of all communication content and channels that form the ZRBF MELANA Communication Strategy; Bulk SMS, Lima Imali Application, WhatsApp groups; ZRBF website, Facebook, videos, podcasts, print based media and management of community feedback.
This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills she or he may have acquired in school related learning and apply them in a professional setting. The candidate will also have opportunities to network directly with programs.
The Communications Intern will learn the practical application of: Developing, coordinating and disseminating resilience messages through appropriate channels and ensuring all stakeholders promote the messages; Facilitating communication trainings that promote digital literacy for the targeted beneficiaries and government extension workers; Monitoring, capturing and reporting feedback and providing technical support to all ZRBF stakeholders
Qualifications and skills required
Recently graduated with a University degree in any of the following: Journalism, Marketing, or related field; Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet applications; Ability to travel to the operational areas on frequent basis as project demands; Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously

Administration Assistant/Driver: The Organization for Public Health Interventions and Development (OPHID)

The Organization for Public Health Interventions and Development (OPHID) PVO 31/16 develops and implements innovative approaches and strategies to strengthen HIV Care and Treatment services in Zimbabwe, by providing enhanced access for communities to comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment. OPHID, works with the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) in implementing these interventions.
Overall responsibility
The Admin Assistant/Driver is responsible for all administrative and logistical support at the district/provincial office in liaison with the Program Manager/Provincial Manager performing financial acquittals, provincial office procurements, maintaining petty cash records, maintaining asset inventory, supporting production of time sheets, and driving.
Main responsibilities
Administrative Support to provincial/district office; To ensure that the organization assets are safe and properly maintained; To ensure that all aspects of the administrative and logistical functions are carried out in accordance with compliance donor requirements and general good practices; To support the Provincial Manager/ District Officer in administration by timeously processing the timesheets; Ensure timeous distribution and collection of timesheets to all DSD sites; To support the Provincial Manager/ District Officer with timeous collection of financial resources from Central office; To ensure timeous acquittal of resources advanced and that all required documents are attached; Supporting the Provincial Manager/Program Officer to do participant payments at training and other meetings; Preparing payment requisitions for CRF’s and Locums in liaison with the Program Officer; Managing the district petty cash and replenishment of the same.
Procurement & Logistics
Carry out procurement processes as stipulated in the Procurement Policy; Dispatch of goods/supplies procured for field offices and securing acknowledgement of receipt as appropriate in liaison with Snr Logistics Assistant; Facilitate the quality and quantity control of procured goods and services as per specifications and arrangements set out in the Requisitions, Purchase Orders or Consultancy Contracts; Following up with suppliers to get fiscal tax invoices
Driving
To safely drive OPHID vehicles as per instructions to ensure that staff arrive at and are picked from their intended destinations on time and safely; To clean OPHID vehicles so that they are clean all the time to make them hospitable to passengers and maintain the image of OPHID Trust; To undertake daily checks on vehicles to ensure that they are roadworthy all the time so that there are no disruptions to business due to preventable faults; To advise the Provincial Manager/ District Officer when the vehicle is due for service and plan for the servicing of the vehicle to avoid disruptions of service due to preventable faults; To run errands as instructed by provincial coordinator and any other senior officer
Requirements
5 ‘O’ levels including Mathematics and English; Administrative Qualifications such a National Diploma in Administration, Accounting or Purchasing; Clean Class 4 drivers’ license with a Defensive Driving Certificate; The ability to communicate in the local languages (Ndebele) in the respective areas will be a very strong requirement; 5 years of work experience in a similar position; Proficiency in usual desktop software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) a requisite

University of Zimbabwe College of Health Sciences – Clinical Trials Research Centre (UZCHS-CTRC) on behalf of I-TECH (International Training and Education Center for Health) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Data Officer. I-TECH's activities occur primarily in the technical areas of health system strengthening; health workforce development; operations research and evaluation; prevention, care and treatment of infectious diseases. I-TECH is funded by PEPFAR through Center for Disease Control to implement HIV & TB treatment and care services in five Zimbabwean provinces in support of the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC). The contract of employment is for seven (7) months.
Responsibilities
Reporting
Drafting and consolidating program activity reports to various stakeholders and partners; Compiling and consolidating monthly and quarterly reports on program activities to various stakeholders and partners; Verification and consolidation of monthly PSIO activities and reports
Data management and analyses
Cleaning, verifying and preparing data for reporting to MoHCC and supporting partners; Triangulation of information collected using various electronic platforms including but not limited to DHIS2, TrainSMART and the national clinical mentorship tools; Consolidating, cleaning and preparing IPITC (intensified Provider Initiated testing and Counselling) data for analysis; Populating CDC-I-TECH weekly iPITC performance measurement dashboard; Support and supervision of Data/ICT Assistant and M&E Assistants at different iPITC Sites in Harare, Mash Central, Mash East and Mash West.
Project Management Support
Assisting in managing, tracking, and reporting of all projects being implemented; Involvement in SOP drafting and development; Performing general research related duties including but not limited to: data entry, filing, descriptive analyses and collating forms; Working closely with the provincial and district health information officers to support and strengthen the District Health Information System; Attending provincial and district coordination and review meetings according to the MoHCC calendar
Training and facilitation
Assisting in the monitoring and evaluation of clinical mentoring programs conducted across the country
Administrative
Writing minutes of meetings, preparing workshop materials and training workshop participants as required; Assisting in the staff recruitment process; Travelling to support project staff in Zimbabwean districts; Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications, skills and experience
Health-related background with relevant M&E training; Bachelor’s Degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health or related field is required; MPH would be an added advantage; Minimum of 5 years working experience managing, analyzing and reporting, health related program/project data and information; Experience working with DHIS2 data; Excellent computer skills including but not limited to, MS Word and MS PowerPoint; Advanced skills in MS Excel, including pivot-tables, formatting, statistical functions and formulas; Strong quantitative data analysis skills, including conducting data cleaning, verification and trend-analyses. Proficiency in at least one statistical software package e.g. STATA, SAS or SPSS is a must; Excellent report writing and presentation skills, including fluency in English and one or more of the local languages spoken (e.g. Shona and/or Ndebele); Great inter-personal skills and demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively; Experience in working with MoHCC and/or implementing partner health-related programs, with a strong understanding of the Zimbabwe health care system structures, are strongly encouraged.
