General Manager – Nationwide Property Portfolio – Commercial Buildings & Investments
The role reports to the Managing Director and leads a team of professional personnel across the property portfolio which manages a nationwide asset base. You must be capable of managing a robust portfolio to manage current and future company property investments for good returns.
You must be qualified in property management sector with 10 – 15 years experience. Ideally you would have managed a commercial property company at a senior level.
Valuation of assets for: Sale, Purchase, Company Accounts, Insurance, and investment portfolio
Company Property Advisory Services – from A – Z – lead team and provide services to clients.
Provide an operational service for responsive and planned maintenance work to buildings and sites, 24 hours a day all year round.
Organise and monitor building or engineering works – upgrades and development work as per planned programs
Assess rents; ensure that properties are well maintained and appropriately used and that the properties provide reasonable returns from leased agreements.
Provide robust systems for investigation of defects, fault diagnosis and repair with contractors and internal personnel.
Develop, implement and monitor a Health and safety policy which ensures compliance with statutory and standing safety standards.
With you team you must;
Identify property trends for letting opportunities
Identify and resolve problematic vacancies for portfolio clients
Develop and maintain customer industry networks to maximize lead identification
Identify and close letting deals according to client terms and prospects types.
Produce rental survey reports for all sectors within portfolio to identify achievable open market rentals to ensure lease negotiations are at correct rental levels
Preparation of monthly voids report
Advise MD and Board of Directors of other matters to ensure the property division remains viable.
Client will consider person who has run their own Property Company in the past.

This position requires a Legal Compliance Specialist with 5 years experience trained across the banking sector. Prior commercial banking and RBZ experience is desired. The person will work and offer advice as required to ensure risk and compliance matters are managed in line with Banking regulations.
Duties include;
Providing leadership in compliance at a strategic level for the company
Reviewing and advising on compliance governance matters as set out by the Bank Sector

Developing and establishing a compliance risk management framework, strategy and policy

Engaging at strategic level with regulators as required

Employing change management techniques to obtain commitment from all stakeholders
Responsible for compliance program oversight
Responsible for management of an organization’s compliance function
Ensure appropriate authority and resources
Implementing the compliance risk management framework and strategy
Drafting compliance communications and creating awareness on matters pertaining to compliance;
Conduct formal compliance reviews
Identifying and reporting of compliance risks, breaches and incidents within area of responsibility
Formulating and implementing compliance and monitoring plans
Preparing various ad hoc compliance reports

Responsibilities

• Evaluates bids and proposals to ensure cost effectiveness, legality and compliance with required specifications.
• Prepares purchase orders, purchase requisitions and awards bids.
• Assists program, project, or other departmental staff with development of requests for bids and proposals, evaluation of bids and proposals, and drafting and negotiation of contracts.
• Assists departmental staff with contract interpretation and resolution of contract disputes and protests.
Preferred Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and/ related discipline
• At least 3 years’ experience in contracts management and tender processes
• Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and access
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• A legal qualification will be an added advantage
