FACTORY MANAGER (KENYA)
Simbisa Brands Kenya is seeking an
experienced Factory Manager who will be responsible for ensuring that the
factory business runs efficiently in order to consistently attain the
predetermined profitability standards and produce quality products.
*Role will offer competitive salary
for successful candidate. Candidate should be willing and able to relocate to
Kenya.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
∙ Running and managing day-to-day factory operations
∙ Submitting recommendations based on the company’s policy direction, revenue projections, budget targets, proposed goals and objectives
∙ Ensuring product quality, hygiene, safety, sanitation and legislative compliance
∙ Generation and distribution of factory budget reports and assisting management in preparation of factory financial reports
∙ Managing factory stock levels and maintaining a thorough control system of incoming and outgoing expendable office materials on a monthly basis
∙ Ensuring factory facilities are well maintained and in good working order
∙ Negotiating contracts with main suppliers
∙ Performing operations in line with the company’s mission, vision, core values and strategic intent.

∙ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to maintain favorable working relations with staff, free of discrimination and harassment.

A local vibrant organisation is
seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join the team as a field
officer. Able to work under minimal pressure the individual should demonstrate
experience working with farmers at grassroots level and relevant stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist in selection of beneficiary farmers and households; Mobilize and conduct trainings and extension services in the selected districts and wards; Select suitable demonstration sites in conjunction with farmers and together with farmers establish demonstration sites; Monitor and manage the demonstration sites to the highest standard; Guide and monitor the performance of lead and mentored farmers in adoption of good agricultural practices and improved technologies; Develop, submit for approval and maintain weekly or monthly activity plans; Implement activities in the wards according to weekly/monthly work plans; Coordinate and collaborate activities in the operational area with relevant stakeholders; Facilitate and develop input and output markets within the selected wards; Ensure all data are captured accurately on M and E tools provided and submitted timely; Organize and conduct field and technical learning days in the operational wards; Capture field data (rainfall, input rates, yields) of the demonstration plots and farmers’ crops; Maintain an up-to-date database of farmers; Collaborate and work closely with local authorities and AGRITEX personnel and program relevant stakeholders; Attend and participate in meetings where representation is required at ward, district and provincial levels; Maintain all allocated company property safely and in good order; Generate relevant periodic reports i.e. weekly highlights, monthly reports, photos and any reports that may be required; Performing any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
