Background
Background
CeSHHAR Zimbabwe is an organization that specializes in sexual
health, HIV and AIDS research in Zimbabwe. CeSHHAR in collaboration with the
MOHCC and NAC is implementing a National Sex Work Programme aimed at reducing
HIV acquisition and transmission among female, male and transgender sex workers
thereby reducing HIV transmission and acquisition to and from their clients. Low
consistent condom use, risk of drug use and increasing transactional sex are
some of the common reasons that put these key populations at risk of acquiring
STI and HIV infection. The Programme aims to foster an empowered and resilient
sex work community fully engaged in HIV prevention and care cascades, by
bringing to scale evidence-based, sex worker-led interventions to maximize
demand for, supply of and retention within HIV prevention and care services for
male, female and trans sex workers in Zimbabwe. Reaching these populations and
increasing awareness and access to STI and HIV prevention, testing and
treatment services are fundamental to reducing transmission of STI and HIV
infections.
Objectives
To improve access to HIV/STI prevention and treatment services among key populations; To reduce barriers to care among sex workers within the public sector ad expand service delivery for sex workers nationally
Scope of work
Under the overall supervision of the Programme Coordinator, and under direct supervision of the Clinic Managers, the nurse counsellors will be responsible for the following tasks:
Performing routine physical examinations on all clients i.e. temp, B/P, pulse and routine vaginal examination on all women; Providing treatment and care for sexually transmitted infections and other reproductive health concerns according to National Guidelines; Performing rapid syphilis testing; Prescribing and dispensing of drugs; Performing Rapid HIV testing in accordance with the National HIV Testing Algorithm and providing pre and post-test counselling; Providing appropriate supportive counselling, referrals and follow up; Offering family planning and counselling services; Maintaining proper documentation of all clinical and laboratory procedures on all programme clients; Updating and maintaining of clinical records; Ordering drugs clinic sundries at clinic level; Compiling of weekly ,monthly and quarterly statistics and clinic reports; Scheduling of mobile clinic visits; Performing other duties as assigned by the programme coordinator

Ø Theatre / Recovery:
Knowledge and understanding of the needs of a patient after
surgical procedures. To assess, develop, implement and evaluate the
peri-operative care needs of patients and to carry out relevant forms of care
with minimal supervision. Assesses patient care requirements independently and

Responsibility for all patients in the Adult inpatient unit and
is expected to escalate problems outside their scope of practice to the
clinical duty manager or Ward senior sister if required. The patient consists
of adults requiring a variety of Surgical and medical interventions that are
complex and often increased dependency during the recovery journey and with a
variable level of dependency from acute to palliative.
Ø Gen Med:
To work effectively and efficiently within the framework of team
nursing and individualised patient care. In collaboration with the ward
integrated multidisciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate programmes
of care for patients. To contribute towards developing and maintaining a
suitable and stimulating learning environment. To take charge of the Ward as
appropriate to the area in the absence of the Ward Sister / Charge Nurse or
their deputies on a shift basis and to supervise junior registered and
unregistered staff.
Ø Oncology Unit:
Administer chemotherapy, implement new methods of symptom
treatment and monitor their patients' progress. Create a supportive environment
and may opt to work in areas such as paediatric hematology/oncology or breast
cancer
Ø A&E Department:
Emergency Department including dealing with the acutely unwell
patients and also minor injury. Is able to take the lead in an emergency
situation. Evaluates care outcomes and knows how to respond to an emergency
situation
Ø Endoscopy Unit:
Liaising and advising the greater multi-disciplinary team and
external agencies on the provision of optimum patient care and endoscopy
activity. The role includes participating in endoscopy procedures as assistant
to the clinician or circulating roles within the endoscopy room. It is expected
with exposure and practice that the person will become specialised in endoscopy

Specific Responsibilities
Working under the supervision of the Executive Director and in close
collaboration with the senior management, the Communications and Fundraising
Officer will fulfil the below functions:
Communications
• Develop and implement TrustAfrica’s communications strategy, setting
out aims and activities to reach key audiences and advance its distinct brand;
• Work closely with the program staff to formulate impact stories for publishing;
• Guide all communications, ensuring they support TrustAfrica’s strategy to define and enhance its brand;
• Manage content production across all channels (our website, social media, print) including editorial, photography and video;
• Produce and distribute the annual reports and newsletters for TrustAfrica;
• With the support from the IT officer and external service providers, ensure that design on all channels and platforms is unique, impactful and enhances our brand;
• Design and produce communications materials for our convenings, conferences and knowledge products;
• Ensure media monitoring and advise on strategies to respond to media opportunities;
• Proactively develop and pitch media engagement opportunities in consultation with TrustAfrica programs.
• Write media releases and op-eds and distribute (or place) them in key media outlets/channels.

• Maintain established funding partnerships with current donors, and use existing networks to build relationships with new donors, and encourage longterm commitment and giving;
• Support fundraising activities, including managing TrustAfrica’s individual giving platform and e-newsletter;
• Provide comprehensive research and data gathering for new fundraising initiatives;
• Contribute new ideas for fundraising and partnerships that ensures brand recognition at the local and global levels; ensure our brand is identified with our programmes and is prominent on all platforms and marketing materials;
• Develop and maintain a partnerships management database to keep track of submitted grant applications, deadlines, and outcomes.
Budget Management
• Oversee and manage the allocated budget in order to set out clear priorities and timelines, scope of work and planning of resources to satisfy the objectives for the communications and fundraising initiatives ;
• Effectively manage resources and ensure cost saving initiatives are implemented.
• Any other relevant duties as assigned by the Executve Director.

General Functions

The Senior Programme Officer (SPO), Water, will be responsible for
coordinating projects within the water portfolio across IUCN’s programme in

The community is not equipped with the provisions of the constitution. The project is working with 3000 women in the above-mentioned districts of Zimbabwe. One of the key strategies for the attainment of the above project is to use the constitution as an entry point for enforcing transparency and accountability. The project therefore seeks to increase knowledge and understanding of women of the key aspects of the Zimbabwe constitution.
