Purpose of position

Qualifications, experience, and key competencies required

Specific accounting/bookkeeping responsibilities
Manage all aspects of day to day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: Accounts payable and receivable, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations; Prepare Journal Entries for prepaid expense, deferred revenue and payroll cash accounts; Process and pay all invoices in a timely manner; Receive and deposit all organizational revenue; Execute monthly payroll activities using a 3rd party payroll service provider; Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including standard financial reports, variance reports and grant specific financial reports according to the donor requirements; Work closely with the finance manager to execute month end closing procedures and postings; Coordinate with the finance manager and auditors in preparation of year end audits; Support provision in the development and analysis of annual organization budget; Support provision in developing grant proposal budgets; Maintain accounting procedures and policies and systems of internal controls to ensure the integrity of all financial systems; Be the key interface with banks and be responsible for cash management; Perform non routine tasks requiring strong judgment and initiative.
Qualifications
Accounting degree/Professional qualification in accounting; 3-5 years work experience in a bookkeeping/accounting function; Experience working in nonprofit multi fund accounting, including experience tracking and reporting financial data for multiple grant funders; Strong Pastel Accounting skills, including all normal accounting transactions, GL management, budgeting, and reporting; Strong MS Office package skills; Ability to work independently and in a team environment; Attention to detail, good communication, and problem solving are all critical skills for success in this role; As a small organization operating in a very dynamic environment, a significant amount of flexibility and teamwork is required; Employees are expected to work collaboratively to ensure organizational success

Head Agronomy Manager – Local & Regional Opportunity
Our client is an international company with local and regional operations. The role reports to the Managing Director at Head Office and assists other MDs in the Region. Some local and regional travel is envisaged. You are required to lead the Agronomy team and work with various department heads as required for the annual success of their tobacco and other outreach crop programs.

Monitor training programs small-scale/family sector farming as well as their neighbouring commercial farmers

Save the Children’s Zimbabwe programme is inviting applications for the position below in preparation for an anticipated USAID Integrated MNCH/FP project within selected districts in Zimbabwe aimed at improving maternal, youth, child and newborn health in beneficiary communities and populations in the following key Results: 1) Strengthened community systems and linkages to MNCH/FP services; 2) Enhanced quality of respectful, youth-friendly MNCH/FP services throughout the continuum of care; and 3) Reduced socio-cultural barriers to improved health and health seeking behaviors.

Position summary
Based in Manicaland, to lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategies to facilitate appropriate care-seeking and adoption of preventative MNCH/FP behaviors within the household, community, and health facilities. The VYA SRH Coordinator will work under the direction of the Team Leader for day-to-day implementation of the work plan and with the Save the Children US ASRH Technical Team in Washington, D.C. on a regular basis on technical matters.
Essential duties, responsibilities, and impact
The main responsibilities for the Very Young Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Coordinator include: Provide overall management of the VYA component of the ASRH program; Collaborate with and support the ASRH team to design, adapt, and implement VYA strategies and materials for use at the household, community, and health facility levels in project areas; Build capacity of local partners to implement and monitor quality VYA activities; Support the MOH on technical ASRH issues, including participation in key Ministry-led technical working groups related to ASRH/VYAs; Support the ASRH and other technical staff by problem-solving and providing guidance with operational issues related to VYA programming; Lead documentation of results and lessons from VYA programming
Required background, experience, skills and behaviours
At a minimum, the Very Young Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Coordinator will have: A degree in nursing, social work or a related field; At least five years of experience with skills and experience in life skills education, adolescent health, reproductive health and/or HIV/AIDS prevention programming for youth; Experience in project implementation, monitoring, training and mentoring; Experience developing and/or adapting behavior change communication materials; Comfort and familiarity with puberty and sexuality education for adolescents, particularly 10-14 year-olds; Experience of working with local partners in the field of sexual and reproductive health; Ability to provide technical support to community groups implementing interventions for adolescents 10 – 14 years old; Knowledge of the Zimbabwean health system; Ability to work independently and in a team setting with minimal supervision; Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Fluency in English; Ability to use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Ability to travel within the country; Legal authorization to work in Zimbabwe; Personal and professional commitment to adolescent sexual and reproductive health.

Two (2) Field Officer: BIO-HUB Trust

BIO-HUB Trust seeks suitable qualified and motivated candidates to fill the vacancy of 2 Field Officers (1 in Nyanga and Beitbridge each) under the Programme for Resilience (PROGRESS) Project, funded by UNDP through ZRBF (Zimbabwe Resilience Building Fund). It is a three-year project with project activities in Nyanga and Beitbridge districts.
Position overview
The Field Officers will be responsible for day to day project activities in selected wards in each district and will be based in the district they will be working in with regular travel to Harare for project related meetings. Candidates resident or from the 2 districts are strongly encouraged to apply. The PROGRESS component for BIO-HUB Trust will focus on fodder crops, livestock improvement and non-timber forest products utilization tailored to the individual climatic and market characteristics of the target district. District work profiles
For the Nyanga Field Officer
The work will include promoting apiculture – honey production. This will include working with selected communities from understanding basic concepts of beekeeping, through to honey production, processing and marketing through well a well defined value chain approach.
For the Beitbridge Field Officer
The work will include establishing viable NTFP value chains for the following NTFPs: marula, mopane worm and indigenous vegetables. The work will also include promoting fodder production for livestock improvement. This will seek to improve animal husbandry techniques
Key duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities
Provide leadership on technical design and implementation of project activities aimed at strengthening community systems and linkages; improving quality and youth friendliness of integrated MNCH/FP services throughout the continuum of care; and reducing socio-cultural barriers to improved health and health seeking behaviors; Work closely with the Chief of Party on strategy development; Oversee project planning, work plan development and monitoring, and reporting; Participate in development and management of the project budget(s); Coordinate with other key staff to ensure projects are on-track; monitor and report on the milestone achievements; Provide technical assistance on MNCH/FP to civil society organizations and health center committees to ensure better community engagement; Organize consultation workshops, conferences, launch events; Contribute technical input to the training curriculum for healthcare workers, specifically related to long-acting reversible and permanent methods and the Ministry of Health and Child Care’s (MOHCC) youth-friendly package of services, and village health workers; Ensure effective communications and regular dialogue between the key stakeholders, including government officials, technical consultants, agencies, donors, and religious communities; Contribute to the design and drafting of policy, research findings, publications, project updates, guidance documents, presentations and donor reports; Support the MOHCC to implement MNCH/FP policies and use evidence and best practices to inform policies to address barriers to accessing care; Represent project at meetings and conferences.
Required skills and experience
A medical degree with additional post-graduation qualifications (e.g. post-graduate degree in public health, obstetrics and gynecology or pediatrics) is strongly preferred; A minimum of 7 years progressively responsible, professional-level experience managing public health and health delivery with emphasis on RH/FP/MCH; clinical skills and experience is required; Experience working in Zimbabwe on health–related activities strongly desired; Understanding of, and sensitivity to, the major issues affecting FP/RH/MCH in all geographical regions of Zimbabwe, with in-depth knowledge of the implementation of FP/RH/MCH programs in Zimbabwe; Demonstrated appreciation for project analysis and learning, including peer-reviewed publications and dissemination; Demonstrated understanding of programs and organizational aspects of major international donors, organizations, foundations and private sector organizations that support MNCH/FP
