Plan International Zimbabwe is urgently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill vacancies for the food aid Lean Season Assistance (LSA) project supported by the World Food Program (WFP) in Goromonzi, Marondera and Hwedza districts on fixed term employment contract.
3 x Program Coordinators based in Goromonzi /Hwedza /Marondera
Job Summary
Reporting to the Program Area Manager, the Program Coordinator will provide technical guidance, leadership and facilitation in the coordination and design, implementation, supervision, monitoring and evaluation of Lean Season Food Assistance programme, regular contact between different stakeholders and communities and Plan International Zimbabwe. To coordinate the implementation of the Food Aid Program with Government departments and other implementing partners and oversee the distribution of food to registered beneficiaries. The post holder will be responsible for producing donor reports and represent Plan International Zimbabwe at Stakeholder forums on development interventions.
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours required in achieving role’s objectives
A Degree in Development related discipline eg Agriculture, Development Studies, Health, Nutrition.
Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience preferably in NGO environment in implementing emergency/relief programs
Knowledge of WFP food and cash/assets management operations and systems
Good knowledge on project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
Strong knowledge on donor compliance requirements and grants management
Good report writing, facilitation, communication, analytical, negotiation and community mobilization skills
Versatile team leader and player
Computer literacy in at least Word and Excel
Ability to organize own work and work independently
19 x Field Monitors based in Goromonzi/Hwedza/Marondera
Job Summary
Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Field Monitor is responsible for supporting communities in identifying and registering food aid beneficiaries according to set criteria and procedures, distributing food to registered beneficiaries in an orderly and controlled manner, ensuring that each beneficiary gets correct quantities of food rations and signs for food received in the appropriate register. Incumbent will keep accurate records of food distributions, compile and submit daily and monthly distribution reports.

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours required in achieving role’s objectives
A degree in a Social Sciences or development related discipline
Minimum of 3 years extensive experience in development work at grassroots level
Experience in emergence/relief programs will be an added advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Computer literacy in Excel and Word
A valid class 3 or 4 licence and ability to ride is an added advantage
Ability to work with teams and coordinate with key development stakeholders.
Fluent in English and local languages
Excellent report & proposal writing skills
Excellent networking and partnership building skills
Research, analytical and problem solving skills
Proficient in computer skills and use of relevant software and other applications
6 x Data Capturers based in Goromonzi/Hwedza/Marondera
Job Summary
Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Data Capturer is responsible for administrative and field provisions related to registration of households and the paper trail thereof for database management. The incumbent will be responsible for capturing beneficiary registers into the WFP database. He/she will ensure production of accurate households registers as well as beneficiaries lists in accordance with established policies, systems and procedures.

A diploma in Secretarial Studies/Degree in Statistics or related disciplines,
Minimum of 2 years extensive experience in development work at grassroots level
Experience in emergence/relief programs will be an added advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Computer literacy in Excel and Word
Excellent data capturing skills
Ability to work with teams, communicate and coordinate with government departments and other agencies at various levels.
6 x Clerical Officer/Drivers based in Goromonzi/Hwedza /Marondera
Job Summary
Reporting to the Administration Assistant, the Clerical Officer/Driver is responsible for the provision of transportation services to staff and designated people to all areas as instructed; carrying goods, materials and mail to required points timeously to enable the office to effectively carry out its annual plan and Food Aid activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours required in achieving role’s objectives
5 “O” levels including English Language
Minimum 5 years driving experience in a busy working environment
Valid class 2 drivers’ licence
A valid defensive driving certificate from a recognised institution
A certificate in logistics, administration/ procurement is an added advantage
Basic mechanical skills
Fluent in English and local languages
Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure
Proficiency in MS office tools
39 x Part Time Enumerators based in Goromonzi/Hwedza /Marondera
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the job holder will perform the following functions;
Administering questionnaires
Facilitating village level social mapping
Entering required household data
Explaining the project objectives and registration processes to community members
Leading and participating in Focus Group discussions
Entry Qualifications and Experience
A Diploma/Degree in Development related discipline eg Agriculture, Community Development etc
At least 2 “A”Levels
Able to communicate in local vernacular language
Applicants must be residents in or around the stated districts
Able to work in a Communal environment with rural communities
