The COO works with and directs the General Managers
of the divisions. The Scope of Work: Directs, administers, and coordinates the
internal operational activities of the organization in accordance with
policies, goals, and objectives established by the Chief Executive Officer –
Chairman and the Board of Directors.
The role is based at Head office – You must have 10
years in a senior management role – head of department or alike.
Qualifications: Degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Metallurgy or any equivalent degree. General Management qualification such as MBA/MBL

Key deliverables:
· Manages and directs the Group’s operations through respective General Managers
· Directs internal operations to achieve budgeted results and other financial criteria, and to preserve the capital funds invested in the enterprise.
· Participates in the development and preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based upon broad organisation goals and objectives. Recommends their adoption to the Chief Executive Officer.
· Appraises and evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically, and reports these results to the CEO
· Introduces process improvement, new work practices and optimization programs at existing and new operations that will ensure achievement of set targets at minimum cost
· Maintaining full capacity utilization, at least cost, at the Group’s operations
· Spearheads new business development initiatives for organisational growth in line with the organization’s mission
· Assists in the training and professional development of Location Management
· Be a champion of the highest standards of health, safety and environmental behaviour and performance at all the Group’s operations.
· Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Chef Executive Officer from time to time
