UZCHS –CTU University of Zimbabwe College of Health Science – Clinical Trials Unit is seeking suitably qualified applicants to fill the position of Research Administrative Assistant. The incumbent will be based at the Parirenyatwa Clinical Research Site.
Qualifications and experience
Degree in Administration/ Business studies or any related field; Must have 3 “A’ level passes; At least 5 years of relevant experience; Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and other relevant programs; Ability to thrive in a high-pace environment and perform as a team player; Must show initiative and ability to work independently; Experience working with NGOs and Knowledge of HIV issues in Zimbabwe will be an added advantage; Fluency in English; local languages (Shona and/or Ndebele) excellent writing and communications skills.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative and research support to Project; Act as the point person for IRBs for the Protocols including maintaining of the expiry dates for the IRBs working closely with Study Coordinators; Oversee the upkeep of the regulatory binders and IRB submission preparations; Oversee preparation for external and internal monitoring visits; Assist the Study Coordinators to monitor site activities and procedures to ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures remain relevant to current practice; Develop and supervise the implementation of UZCHS-CTU policies (procurement, leave, transport, cell phone use, generator, solar, travel and uniform policies); Participate in study budget preparation and review of monthly ledger reports; Develop and manage a transportation schedule for the project’s vehicles;
Develop and maintain a system of controlling an inventory of Project assets;
Manage the travel arrangements and programmes for visitors to the site and for international trips made by the site staff; Participate in UZCHS-CTU and project-related meetings;Carry out any other duties deemed necessary by the Study Coordinators

Resource Mobilization Officer: Institute of Creative Arts for Progress in Africa (ICAPA)

The Resource Mobilization Officer is responsible for building an increasingly, diversified network of supporters, including institutional, banking, corporate, academia, policy-makers, donors/partners as well as other institutions/individuals who believe in the work of Institute of Creative Arts for Progress in Africa (ICAPA) and provide funds, technical support and other forms of collaboration to meet the current and future needs of ICAPA.
The post holder will also be responsible for raising awareness about the organization’s work at various forums.
Key responsibilities
Fundraising; Developing, implementing and monitoring fundraising strategies, that includes yearly targets to meet the costs of the current and future programmes; Approaching and raising funds from partners/donors, companies, trusts, Banks and foundations within Zimbabwe and abroad; Facilitating co-financing opportunities for partner organizations; Developing annual work plans based on the approved strategy and if needed, preparing income and expenditure budgets for each fundraising initiatives; Assisting in the preparation of project proposals for corporate and other funding agencies; Ensuring all partners receive appropriate and timely reports and updates; Sensitizing and training team members on fund raising and communications skills and strategy.
Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Development, Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, International Relations, Public Administration, and Business Administration OR
Post Graduate Degree in any field from a reputable institution, with substantial experience in fund raising, will be an added advantage.
Experience
Applicants with prior experience of working with NGOs, shall be at an advantage; Minimum five years of demonstrated experience in developing fundraising strategy and institutional fundraising;
Experience in grants management, monitoring, assessments, and reviews, is desirable

Kuumba Foundation is in urgent need of
1. Male and female volunteers based in Harare who can lead children in meaningful and constructive sports and recreational activities. They should be of ages 20 - 40 years of age who can engage children and youth in productive use of their time.
2. Experienced and mature Harare based 35 - 45 years of age male and female volunteer social workers, and counsellors who can volunteer and give guidance and nurture to adult women, boys and girl children and youth.
