Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Finance and Administration Department with accounts payable, including processing invoices, verifying payments, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with accounts receivable, including preparing invoices, sending payment reminders, and collecting payments.
- File financial documents and ensure their accuracy and accessibility.
- Enter financial transactions into the system and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting, including analysing financial data and preparing reports.
- Assist with bank reconciliations.
- Participate in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

- Developing and maintaining a database of service providers.
- Obtaining quotations from service providers and preparing supporting documents as required in terms of procurement procedures of CCMT and funding partners.
- Organizing travel arrangements and booking conference/workshop facilities and accommodation for project teams and activities.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidate must be pursuing a Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other relevant fields from a reputable institution

*About the Position*
The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) is seeking a Hotel General Manager (GM) to oversee the opening and management of a new hotel property in Harare, Zimbabwe. The GM will lead the pre-opening phase, ensure operational excellence, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and meet financial and business objectives.
*Key Responsibilities*
Pre-Opening Phase
- Lead the recruitment, hiring, training, and on-boarding of key staff
- Coordinate with corporate teams for operational plans, marketing, and IT infrastructure
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure brand standards are met
- Develop and implement pre-opening budgets, forecasts, and track costs
- Train staff on policies and procedures tailored to local regulations
- Create sales strategies and local marketing efforts to drive guest awareness
- Ensure all licensing, legal, and safety requirements are met prior to opening
*Operational Phase (Post-Opening)*
- Oversee daily operations to ensure a high-quality guest experience

- Monitor financial performance, including operating expenses and budgets

*Required Qualifications*
- Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager, including both pre-opening and operational management
- Knowledge of hotel management software and property management systems (PMS)
- Strong financial management abilities, including budget and cost control
- Excellent leadership and communication skills; able to inspire and manage teams
- Ability to develop operational processes and ensure consistent quality
- Strong business development and marketing skills to boost sales and brand awareness
- Experience with upscale or full-service hotel brands is mandatory; conference center management is a plus
*Preferred Qualifications*
- Master’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years in hotel management, with 3-5 years in a senior leadership role
- Experience in hotel pre-opening and/or multi-property management is advantageous
- Fluency in English
