The role reports to the HR Director at Head Office.
We seek a candidate from the manufacturing, FMCG or Mining sector with current/past regional or international connection and reach - whereby HR is supported by a parent company based outside Zim. You must have skills across the full HR and Training development functions.
You are expected to;
- Provide modern HR solutions to drive business growth for the company
- Formulate solutions aligned to trends in relation to manning all departments from Admin, Technical and management departments
- Champion the change agenda to implement change strategies to improve on deliverables as set by HQ based in Europe
- Develop Individual and team performance strategies for holistic growth and success across the company
- Increase effectiveness and productivity with innovative organisation design and analytics with t
- Work with line management to test the robustness of detailed organisation designs, and assesses the impact on factors.
- Manage the execution of structural change, movements and exits in line with group policy
- Manage the implementation of the learning and capability building plans for teams and individuals with help of the Training Manager
- Support line management and teams in business delivery through enhancing capability to deliver on business goals and build better relationships with key stakeholders
- Coach line management and others to develop own skills and team capabilities to enhance deliverables by setting example
- Lead negotiations with trade unions and works councils and ministry of labour as required
- Lead support and coach – Executives and managers and HR team in understanding employee engagement and policies and practices, with compliance and safety methods
- Coach managers and heads to ensure they are able to handle situations with HR support
- Manages the communication and implementation of performance and reward processes and policies
- Analyses performance and reward information and makes recommendations to the business on adjustments to market positions to address issues and opportunities
- Work with external companies to understand current trends and innovations with pay policy and other HR systems
- Build line manager capability in managing equitable performance and reward decisions to improve upon best practise systems
- Implement internal and external training programs across the entire company to improve skills required
- Drive talent acquisition policies with recruitment agents and others in training to attract the best skills on offer in the market and overseas

Internal Control Manager – Risk/Audit – Nationwide Group

Job Scope and Outline:
This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer
- This role is responsible and accountable for identifying business and financial control risks and ensures effective action plans are in place to mitigate these risks.
- This role will give assurance to management that the internal controls and procedures of the Company as a whole are adequate and efficient and that they are properly enforced in order to safeguard the Company’s Assets.
- This role provides expertise in risk management, helping to improve business processes and reporting on the effectiveness of the systems of management control.
- Recommends improvement in management controls designed to safeguard company resources, promote company growth and ensure compliance with government laws and regulations.

Job Specification: (Key Roles and Responsibilities)
- Conducts process and compliance reviews as deemed necessary to ensure that internal control issues and risks are properly managed. The findings should categorize the risk within the company and include recommendations of minimizing the identified risks. Early detection of non-compliance and /or internal control weakness, and intervention. The role is Catalyst for change.
- Effective and timely development and implementation of effective policies and procedures; where control weaknesses have been identified.
- Conducts training workshops/ sessions to ensure that appropriate staff are sufficiently knowledgeable with the requirements of Policies and Procedures.
- Conducts ad hoc investigations and makes recommendations to more effectively detect, prevent and remediate fraud.
- Networking with various Internal Control/Loss Control practitioners to identify ineffective practices and promote the adoption of best practices.
- Conducts reviews to provide assurance that External and Internal audit issues are timely addressed and resolved.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, security and environment awareness as per Company regulations outlined in the Policy Statements.
- Conduct control reviews/ad hoc investigations as per the internal Control and Assurance work plan to provide assurance to management that controls are consistent with the Company Policy.
- Ensure follow up on Internal and External Audit reports to ensure agreed actions are implemented.
- Planned assignments e.g. Tender meetings, Safety Meetings, Internal Control, Transport Meetings etc

Person Specification: (Qualifications, Experience and Core and Technical Competencies)
Qualifications:
- A recognized Accounting, Business and or Auditing qualification (BCOM, CA, CIMA, IIA, or equivalent)
Experience:
- A good understanding of the Business processes and systems.
