Locum Nurses: FHI 360

Eligibility: All positions are local hire. Candidates residing from listed locations will be preferred
FHI 360 is a non-profit human development organization dedicated to improving lives in lasting ways by advancing integrated, locally driven solutions. We are seeking suitably qualified candidates for temporary Locum Nurse positions for the USAID funded Zimbabwe HIV Care and Treatment (ZHCT) project.
Summary of position
The Locum Nurse position will be expected to perform the following duties in close collaboration with the MOHCC District and Health facility staff, community based workers and other implementing partners.
Key duties
Conducting HIV Testing and counselling at community level and ensuring linkages to care and treatment for the HIV positives; Strengthening health facility and community linkages through working closely with MOHCC site nurses and community based health workers in the development of robust referral systems for PLWHIV; Developing and implementing a system for defaulter identification, tracking and linkage to care; Providing enhanced adherence counselling, symptom screening, family planning counselling, nutrition assessment to PLHIV at community level and referring to health facilities and other service providers as maybe needed (ART refill and support groups); Specimen collection and timely distribution of results to clients for Viral load, CD4 count, blood sugar, full blood count and other test as needed; Distribution of ARV medicines to member of ART refill groups in collaboration with the health facility staff and community based health workers; Support the health facility staff in coordinating activities of community based health workers in line with national OI /ART program requirements; Record and report activities at community level using ZHCT M&E tools and submit to M&E team for aggregation.
Requirements
Primary Care Nurse or relevant equivalent; Rapid HIV testing is a must; Experience in community nursing is an added advantage; Not currently employed by MOHCC or local authority

Duties and responsibilities
Facilitate the dissemination of the National Behaviour Change (BC) Strategy in the district; Advocate with all level leaders in the district on issues of Behaviour Change promotion; Assist the NAC, District Aids Coordinators in the district to set up a district Behaviour Change Programme; Develop community (ward/ village action plans on Behaviour Change (BC) promotion; Support district leadership and Behaviour Change Facilitators in Behaviour Change activities.
Attributes
Good communication skills; Able to work under minimal supervision; Ability to work under pressure and follow instructions; Ability to use Microsoft packages.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Social Sciences, Health Education, or another relevant field. A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage; Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Public / community health including Sexual Reproductive Health work; A Sound knowledge and understanding of HIV prevention programming; Experience in HIV and AIDS Programmes, Public Health or Health Promotion an asset; Experience and ability to interact with district leadership; Hands on experience working with district and ward structures an added advantage; Clean class 4 drivers' license is an added advantage.

District Behaviour Change Support Officer: Zimbabwe Aids Prevention and Support Organisation

Location: Mashonaland Central Province
The Support officer will: Provide necessary assistance to the Programme Officer in dissemination of the national BC strategy in the District through dissemination meetings involving all relevant stakeholders and leaders; Advocate with traditional, religious, administrative and other leaders in the district on issues of behaviour change promotion; Provide technical and administrative support to the setting up of a district behavioural change forum; Co-facilitate, in close collaboration with the District BC officer the development of a district behavioural change action plan in all wards; Participate in monthly advocacy and support visits to all wards in the districts; Oversee and support the volunteers' behaviour change promotion activities; Co-facilitate in the district level trainings of traditional and religious leaders as well as different types of volunteers; Co-ordinate the District Officer's meetings and workshops; Make payments for specific programme costs under the guidance of the Finance Officer; Assist the BC Programme officer to maintain financial and programme records as per NAC-UNFPA financial, accounting and programme rules, regulations and policies and ensure compliance; Assist in the compilation of district quarterly narrative and financial progress reports.

Community mobilization and sensitization, identifying community volunteers and stakeholders involved in the sister2sister programme; Monitoring and evaluation; conduct support and supervision visits to mentors to monitor progress and effectiveness of programmes; Research and documentation; compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, documenting and recording and filing of all programmes information; Training and capacity building; designing and organizing training programmes for sister mentors and club members; Coordinates logistical arrangements for programme activities.
