Job Description

Requirements
1-4 Years’ experience as a monitoring and evaluation officer/assistant for a reputable community development organization focusing on sustainable agriculture and livelihoods; Solid experience in data entry (using CS Pro etc.), data analytics using SPSS, R or another package; Humble and trainable; Quantitative degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Agriculture Economics, modeling etc). A Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Graduate Internship opportunity has arisen in a multi-donor funded complex resilient project under the Sizimele Consortium in Bulawayo. The intern will be responsible for the following:
Working closely with and under the supervision of the Sizimele Consortium MEL Officer to strengthen partner capacities on M&E; Tracking project progress against implementation work plans, provide technical input into the design and implementation of the M&E system; Reviewing and refining M&E systems and tools, preparation of meeting minutes, monthly, quarterly and annual work plans and reports, regular field visits for data quality control and problem solving, and document successes, challenges, lessons learned and good practices from program implementation; Collaborating with field staff on hard copy and electronic registration of beneficiaries on Tablets, administering surveys, conducting focus group discussions, and key informant interviews; Participating in beneficiary validations and verifications and produce succinct reports; You will have exposure to the accountability, feedback and complaints handling and response mechanism and will participate in gender, power, and age analysis; Exposure to the online Magpi database and other data capturing and analysis software such as SPSS and CSPro. You will contribute to the strengthening of partner relationships and will perform any other duties as assigned; Any other duties assigned by M&E officer.
Required qualifications and skills:
Must hold a social science degree, be resident in Bulawayo and fluent in Ndebele; Previous exposure to NGO/ development work will be an advantage.

Academic Qualifications and Experience
Masters’ university degree in social/natural sciences, preferably in Disaster Management, Disaster Studies, Disaster Risk Reduction, Agriculture or related field; A minimum of two years professional work experience on Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction (CMDRR) (in drought, floods, veldt fires, crop and livestock pests and diseases prone contexts would be an added advantage), and emergency preparedness and response projects; Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others in the workplace; Excellent communication, teamwork, and community mobilization; Excellent planning skills; Proficiency in Microsoft/ Windows/Word/Excel required; Must be well organized and capable of completing multiple tasks before a deadline; Willing to intensively travel in rural areas; Sound report writing skills

Qualifications and Experience

The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) Zimbabwe, is seeking a Program Officer to support the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) in executing their Malaria Elimination Program. The National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) within MoHCC recently expanded the malaria elimination campaign from 7 districts in Matabeleland South province to a total of 20 districts across 4 provinces (Matabeleland South, Matabeleland North, Midlands, and Mashonaland West). The Program Officer will be the focal point for CHAI's provincial engagement. The Program Officer will provide direct day to day support to the provincial malaria team (PEDCO, PEHO, and other team members) to support execution of malaria strategies and activities. The Program Officer will serve as a primary support person for the province, with the exclusive focus on activities that further the province's malaria elimination agenda.
Responsibilities

Oversees the development and implementation of Save the Children in Zimbabwe's fundraising strategy that aligns with Country Office(CO) capacity, member and donor priorities; Actively identifies new opportunities, tracks new opportunities, steers the go/no go and risk tracking for proposals; Understands and influences donor and members on funding priorities and manages the strategic analysis of the donor and member landscape; Develops material to increase visibility and technical legitimacy; Liaise with members to determine opportunities, support global donor relationship management, and align member and country funding strategies; Prepositions concept note to influence donors

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Master’s degree in Social Sciences or related fields; 7 years’ experience in an NGO environment, including experience in managing or advising projects for children in both emergency and development contexts, preferably with solid experience in more than one of the Save the Children priority sectors: education, child protection, child rights governance, HIV/AIDs, health and nutrition, livelihoods and humanitarian; Solid knowledge of the NGO sector, both development and humanitarian issues; Solid experience of project design and proposal writing; Good analytical skills; Effective negotiator, with the ability to positively influence cross departmental and cross sector working and influence and represent Save the Children at all levels; Strong skills in collaborative management, ability to act as an integrator across departments; Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming teams, in emergencies; Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches; Fluency in written and spoken English

Qualifications & Experience
At least 5 Levels including Mathematics
A holder of requisite trade certificates and/ journey workmanship
At least 5 years working experience in a recognised industrial company with similar settings.
