Background
University of Zimbabwe College of Health Sciences – Clinical Trials Unit (UZCHS-CTU) on behalf of I-TECH (International Training and Education Center for Health) is seeking a highly experienced Procurement Officer who will be responsible for managing all UZCHS-CTU/I-TECH procurement, ensuring orders for goods and services are processed promptly and good value is obtained through the relevant procurement processes. Responsibilities
Performing the procurement function in adherence to UZCHS-CTU/I-TECH procurement policies and procedures; Taking necessary action to ensure that all ordered goods and services are delivered as agreed on the purchase order and delivered to sites/districts on time; Conducting monthly review of supplier performance and ensuring that the UZCHS-CTU/I-TECH Approved Supplier List is accurately maintained and updated regularly to reflect changes in programming needs; Obtaining at least 3 quotations from vendors / suppliers, evaluate them by completing a Comparative Bid Analysis form and then processing the orders; Following up and expediting on orders placed to ensure that delivery schedules are in line with programme requirements; Ensuring all Procurement documents are complete, correct and have the relevant signatures before they are submitted to the finance department for payment;.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Degree in Purchasing and Supply Management, Business Administration or equivalent; Knowledge of ASYCUDA a must; Knowledge of Shipping and Forwarding/Customs Legislation and Procedures; At least 3 - 5 years practical work experience in purchasing, supply and clearing environment; Meticulous record keeping and organizational skills and ability to think creatively and strategically; Working knowledge of SAGE Package, spreadsheets and Microsoft Word; Clean class four (4) driver’s license is a distinct advantage; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written); Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; Excellent organizational, planning and analytical skills.

of Human Resources Manager based at its Head Office in Harare. I-TECH's

mandate. Its overall mandate is to develop the frontier into a world class
conservation area and premier tourism destination. This mandate is executed
under the guidance of the partner countries with support from development
partners and a consortium of stakeholders.
THE POSITION
This is a performance based leadership position and is responsible for the strategic management, formulating and implementing strategy, policy and managing the day-to-day operations (financial, human resources and administrative matters) in a manner that will assist the partner countries to achieve objectives. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring that the operation develops into a financially viable entity. The position works closely with government agencies of the partner countries, regional and international institutions inter alia inter-government institutions, NGOs, multilateral and bilateral agencies, communities and the private sector to develop, coordinate and implement sustainable conservation and tourism strategies within the context of sustainable regional development focusing on poverty alleviation and alternative livelihoods for local communities.

• Set daily/weekly/monthly
objectives and communicate them to employees.
