Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Coordinator: Practical Action

Practical Action, an international technology development organization head quartered in the United Kingdom and with offices in Asia, Bangladesh, East Africa, Southern Africa, Latin America and Sudan, seeks to fill the position of Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Coordinator.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
* At least 4 years’ professional experience in NGO MEL work, preferably with a good portion of that gained in INGOs.
* Bachelor’s level qualification preferred in a relevant field;
* Strong understanding and experience of MEL in development programming, both in terms of how to measure outcomes and impact and how to monitor outputs and ensure accountability;
* Strong numeracy, literacy, logic and analytical skills and an ability to ask the tough questions;
* Ability to develop new approaches in simple and accessible ways that take into account the context;
* Ability to lead a team in a wide range of projects and geographies and understanding of concepts and to foster a sense of common purpose and common standards;
* Experience of building capacities across a diverse team, both remotely and in person;
* Proven record of forming effective, strong relationships with leaders and managers at global level;
* Experience of working in a complex environment, including remote working;
* Strong skills in report writing, verbal and written communication;
* Fluency in English is a must;
* Commitment to development principles, mission, vision and ambition of Practical Action.

Responsibilities
1. Present and sell company products and services to potential and existing customers:
Crafting strategies for account retention, growth and new business in Key Accounts to meet established KPIs.
Actively seeking to increase the services offered to assigned portfolio and increasing the income generated in conjunction with the cross-sell and up-sell reward scheme to targets.
Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships through regular close contact account management which will include regular face to face meetings, telephone and email communication.
2. Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the contacts to be made:
Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly status reports for each client and establishing individual requirements whereby each client receives a bespoke service.

Develop Account Plans for each Key Customer
3. Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
Preparing a variety of status reports including activity, closings, follow-ups and adherence to goals.
4. Establish and maintain current and potential client relationships:
To retain assigned portfolio of clients to an established KPI retention rate.
Identify and resolve customer concerns.
Manage account services through quality checks and follow-ups.
Close interaction with the technical team and other Account Executives, to gather, monitor and analyze performance data and ongoing strategy on a weekly basis throughout the month.
Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution and compliance on client deliverables and revenue.
Ensure that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner and quickly escalating any problems that may arise.
Project management for client projects; developing timetables and setting deadlines for the customer service and technical teams.
Ensure account plans for each client are updated ongoing with all current and relevant information concerning the client
5. Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information or feedback gathered through field activity to management:
Qualifications
Must have a degree in Marketing Management/ Business or any Commercial degree and/or Telecoms/IT Qualification (Cisco Certification)
Postgraduate or MBA is an added advantage
Experience
A minimum of 3 years in a similar or related role, with experience in the ICT/Telecoms industry being an advantage

Position: Education Advisor

Job Summary 
The Advisor will provide technical guidance and implementation oversight to partners on a range of education-focused activities to support OVC and adolescents. The Advisor will offer training to strengthen community-based early childhood stimulation and parenting interventions that combine group sessions with home visits. These approaches reinforce better mental health among mothers, and better education and mental health among child participants. The advisor will help the project support the existing national policy on Early Childhood Development (ECD) by providing early childhood stimulation (ECS) training and coaching to caregivers of OVC aged 0-2. S/he will ensure improved ECS practices among young parents, increased access to ECD support, and strengthened positive parenting practices in this regard. The Advisor will also be responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight to a portfolio of complementary education activities including: ensuring OVC school retention and progression, transition support from primary-secondary education, inclusive education, non-formal education - expanding accelerated primary schooling, and working with schools and community structures to better support educational outcomes. 

Requirements 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development, Education or related field. A Master’s degree preferred. 
• Five to seven years of field experience in ECD and education, especially within Zimbabwe 
• Demonstrated experience in training design, delivery and mentoring in subject matter relevant to this position 
• In depth knowledge in the field of early childhood, health, development and related fields preferred. 
• Demonstrated experience working with partner organizations highly desired. 
• Experience working with schools and communities to develop innovations to support educational outcomes for children and adolescents. 
• Experience of working with interdisciplinary teams and networks. 
• Knowledge and understanding, as well as experience with PEFPAR and/or USAID funded projects desired 
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.

Programme Assistant (Mat-South)

Overall Responsibility
The Program Assistant is responsible for supporting the Programs Team with the planning, implementation and monitoring of OPHID program activities. The Program Assistant will provide administrative and logistical support for projects and components of the FACE-HIV program. The Program Assistant will support with writing routine reports and correspondence, and assist with the development of project/program materials. The Program Assistant is responsible for maintaining calendars, receiving and composing communications as needed, and support with preparations, scheduling, logistics, and other various requirements for travel. S/he will assist with organizing meetings and events. S/he will support monitoring program performance and documentation/filing for projects/program. With direction from Program Manager, the Assistant will liaise and communicates with project consultants and field office staff. The Program Assistant will support small research or design projects to support to one or more staff members in regards to project and programmatic efforts.
Requirements
• Completed relevant Bachelor’s Degree in a Public Health related degree
• Experience with administration and logistics, preferred.
• Experience managing volunteers or working with volunteer organizations
• Previous experience with particular reference to PMTCT and HIV Care and Treatment
• Experience working in NGO environment.
• Proficiency in usual desktop software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) a requisite
