Communication and Media Consulting: WWF Zimbabwe

WWF Zimbabwe is implementing a five-year Conservation Strategy (2015 – 2020). The goal of the strategy is to “Contribute to the creation of a Zimbabwe with well managed networks of wild areas that co-exist with society thriving on a sustainable natural resource based economy by 2020.” The strategy is delivered through a unique model within the WWF Network which has several components including working with and through partners on policy and technical issues in wildlife, forestry, renewable energy and food across the country and beyond. The organization is keen to communicate products from these initiatives to its various stakeholders for conservation impact and raise awareness. It is against this background that WWF Zimbabwe seeks the services of a communication and media consultant.
Scope of service
The consultancy includes the following activities: Identifying impact stories within WWF Zimbabwe project spectrum and packaging them for various target audiences through diverse channels; Developing social media and website content and keeping these platforms updated; Nurturing appropriate relationships between WWF Zimbabwe, its partners and appropriate media platforms; Build on and expand WWF Zimbabwe’s photograph base with high quality images
Eligibility criteria
Qualification in Journalism and related fields; Appreciation of Marketing, Graphic Designing and communication packaging is an added advantage; Demonstrable experience in developing content for print & digital platforms and in communication and branding with traceable references; Proven networks and relationships with relevant media in country and abroad

This EXCO role requires a very senior person from the IT Bank Sector to join the team at Head Office.
This important role requires a seasoned practitioner with;
IT related tertiary qualification or BSc degree.6 - 8 years management experience in an IT environment, in banking Sector
This role is responsible for aligning and guiding the delivery of a variety of IT services to support business objectives, through other managers and their teams, over periods of 1-2 years.
Provide vision, direction, alignment and leadership to IT teams and to the broader business as an Exco member
Manage across areas and technologies, to integrate and deliver a reliable service to the business
Ensure IT initiatives are aligned to business strategy and managed in accordance with the change framework planned
Support strategic goals of business by providing solutions that are scalable, future fit, low risk and cost-effective
Manage internal and external stakeholders and IT vendors to enable IT to deliver to the strategic goals of the business
Align to company policies and procedures required to govern the provision of IT business services.
Manage IT risk and delivery of management actions
Develop and agree IT function business plans and manage IT cost of ownership within agreed budgets
Develop future capabilities aligned with the business strategy and ensure retention of talent
Manage IT technical debt and ensure architecture aligned to business strategy and application of group architecture governance
Manage service contracting, delivery and engagement with service recipients
Strategic alignment - including business planning and project delivery
Value delivery - including cost of ownership and capacity management
Risk and audit management
Resource management - people, systems, vendors, including readiness for the future
Performance management

Strategic alignment - including business planning and project delivery
Develops IT functional business plans aligned to delivery of strategy and business plans
Ensure balanced investment in run, grow and transform initiatives
Develop and get approval for investments in strategic projects and deliver approved projects within agreed time, cost and quality thresholds to deliver contracted benefits
Value delivery - including cost of ownership and capacity management
Manage IT cost of ownership within budget and benchmarks
Balance demand and supply and manage capacity accordingly
Risk and audit management
Key risks identified and managed
Compliance to Information technology, Information security and business continuity management policy
Resource management - people, systems, vendors, including readiness for the future
Ensure technical debt measured and eliminated
Ensure appropriate investment in future capabilities aligned to company strategy
Manage the IT team, including talent development and retention
Manage suppliers to deliver value as required to enable strategic objectives and IT services
Performance management
Contract with business for delivery of IT services
Manage delivery of contracted services
Manage engagement with business functions to ensure ongoing relevance and continued improvement of IT services
