PROGRAMME ASSISTANT (MAT-SOUTH)

Overall Responsibility
The Program Assistant is responsible for supporting the Programs Team with the planning, implementation and monitoring of OPHID program activities. The Program Assistant will provide administrative and logistical support for projects and components of the FACE-HIV program. The Program Assistant will support with writing routine reports and correspondence, and assist with the development of project/program materials. The Program Assistant is responsible for maintaining calendars, receiving and composing communications as needed, and support with preparations, scheduling, logistics, and other various requirements for travel. S/he will assist with organizing meetings and events. S/he will support monitoring program performance and documentation/filing for projects/program. With direction from Program Manager, the Assistant will liaise and communicates with project consultants and field office staff. The Program Assistant will support small research or design projects to support to one or more staff members in regards to project and programmatic efforts.
Requirements
• Completed relevant Bachelor’s Degree in a Public Health related degree
• Experience with administration and logistics, preferred.
• Experience managing volunteers or working with volunteer organizations
• Previous experience with particular reference to PMTCT and HIV Care and Treatment
• Experience working in NGO environment.
• Proficiency in usual desktop software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) a requisite

ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT/DRIVER (BULAWAYO, HARARE& MAT-SOUTH)

Overall responsibility

Driving
• To safely drive OPHID vehicles as per OPHID policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations to ensure that staff arrive at and are picked from their intended destinations on time and safely
• Deliver documents to intended destinations and ensure that all deliveries have been signed for and delivered to the correct recipients.
• Report any case of accident/incident to the supervisor in compliance with OPHID policies and procedures.
Requirements
• 5 ‘O’ levels including Mathematics and English
• Administrative Qualifications such as National Diploma in Administration, Accounting or Purchasing
• Clean Class 4 drivers’ license with a Valid Defensive Driving Certificate
• The ability to communicate in the local languages in the respective areas will be a very strong requirement.

PROJECT ASSISTANT x7

The Organization for Public Health Interventions and Development (OPHID) PVO 31/16 with funding from UNICEF in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Child Care is implementing a four-month project to contribute to the reduction of mortality and morbidity attributable to malnutrition and HIV in children under 5 and their careers in 7 districts of Makoni, Mutare, Buhera, Chivi, Kwekwe, Gutu and Gokwe South. OPHID and its partner Kapnek Trust are looking for Project Assistants.
Overall responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the Project Assistant are to provide sensitization and mentoring on HIV Testing and Counselling services and initiation of HIV positive clients on Anti-Retroviral Treatment (ART) at malnutrition entry points in all health centres in the district and strengthen community health service linkages. The Project Assistant will ensure documentation of care and treatment and prepare monthly reports on services rendered for submission to supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
• Diploma/Degree or relevant Nursing qualification, RGN
• Registration with Zimbabwe Nursing Council based in cent
• Knowledge of National AIDS and TB guidelines
• Certificate in Rapid HIV Testing and counselling
• Training in HIV Integrated Training an advantage
• Paediatric experience in HIV care and treatment preferred
• Training in IYCF and CMAM
• Familiar with M&E tools for Nutrition and HIV management
• Ability to communicate in local languages
• Ability to manage resources and own budget
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned district
