International Medical Corps (IMC) is a global humanitarian, non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. IMCs’ mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity is undeserved communities worldwide. IMC has worked in Zimbabwe since 2009.
IMC is seeking a qualified candidate for a USAID-funded Development Food Assistance Program (DFAP). The program’s strategic objectives are: Improved household access to, and availability of food; Communities made more resilient to shocks; Nutrition and health among pregnant and lactating females, boys and girls under 2 improved
The District Nutrition Officer will contribute to the strategic objective related to health and nutrition and implement the program activities at district level. Expected responsibilities will include but are not limited to: the establishment and support to care groups at community level; supporting the provision of conditional food rations to Pregnant and Lactating Women (PLW) and children under 2 and supporting the integration of nutrition into health care services amongst health centres and community level health workers. These activities will incorporate the tenets of the first 1,000 days approach
Qualifications
The candidate should have at least a first degree in Nutrition or Health Promotion. Knowledge of community health practices desirable. The ability to speak isiNdebele is a MUST.
Work experience
At least five years of experience in Community health and nutrition programming; Knowledge of humanitarian and development issues is an asset; Ability to work within various teams and be able to contribute to the overall success of that team; Able to demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to work.

Nutrition and Health Intern: International Medical Corps (IMC)

Location of position: Bulawayo, Gwanda, Tsholotsho and Plumtree Districts
Summary of position
The incumbent will be responsible for data capturing, analysis and reporting of SO3 activity data. S/he will work closely with the Nutrition M&E, Nutrition Coordinator and WASH Coordinator to ensure that routine care group and community health club monitoring data is properly managed. The position will be supervised by the Nutrition M&E Coordinator.
Responsibilities
Routinely support SO3 Team Leader in aspects of SO3 programming involving data entry, data capturing, data analysis and presentation; Data entry will be of Quality Improvement Verification Checklists, Community Health Club inventory baseline, midterm and final evaluation data; Data entry for routine care group registers information from Care Group Volunteers registers; and Lead Mother registers and routinely enter the data into an electronic system; Conduct routine data cleaning and analysis on the SO3 routine data; Conduct simple data analyses of the routinely collected data from the CHC and CGV registers under the supervision of the Nutrition M&E Coordinator; Conduct regular quality checks on the registers as they are submitted from the district to the head office before any entry is conducted and ensure that all missing information is communicated back to the SO3 Team leader; Support SBCC materials development through compilation of reviewed documents under the guidance of the SBCC Nutrition Advisor.
Qualifications
Students studying towards a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, health promotion or any public health related degree from a recognised College/ University with support letters from their learning institutions looking for attachment positions.
Skills
Good command of computer programming, specifically Microsoft office, particularly Word & Excel; Possess good oral and written communication skills and be able to establish and maintain good relationships within consortia as well as community volunteers; Ability to work to strict deadlines and coordinate and compile information from various sources at different levels; Proficiency in isiNdebele an added advantage

The Patsy Collins Trust Fund Initiative (PCTFI-Cohort3) project, "Empowering Adolescents for Lifelong Learning", aims to promote meaningful engagement of adolescents in actions that contribute to quality lifelong education. The project is premised on the Adolescent Development Model (ADM) concept as a foundation to give adolescents the personal capacities they require making informed decisions. The project, under CARE International in Zimbabwe, is seeking to recruit a mature professional with ability to work with minimum supervision to join the team.
Job summary
The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will be responsible for ensuring adequate monitoring of the project in line with donor requirements while contributing value and improving programming through timely provision of quality monitoring and evaluation information, enabling real-time learning within the project:
Key duties and responsibilities
Developing project Monitoring and Evaluation activity plans and submitting to Project Manager; Participating in monitoring and evaluation assessments; Collecting, compiling and cleaning project data for the cohort studies; Conducting training for adolescents in participatory Monitoring and Evaluation; Compiling survey data and project reports as per project requirements; Conducting records management for the Patsy Collins project as per project requirements.
Qualifications, skills and experience
Diploma in Development Studies/Social Sciences/Statistics/Mathematics or equivalent; 3 years working experience in Monitoring and Evaluation or other related field; Knowledge working with government and school authorities; Understanding of adolescent programming in Zimbabwe; Excellent communication, report writing and research skills; Good interpersonal skills; Knowledge of peri-urban settlements and their education development dynamics.

Based in Harare, Zimbabwe, the role will provide technical leadership in researching, developing and implementing innovative WaSH and laundry solutions that reduce and enable redistribution of related household level care work in selected districts. Post graduate qualification in a related filed will be a strong advantage.
