This role will involve supporting the Oxfam humanitarian team to mobilize and engage communities and relevant stakeholders for purposes of collecting data needed throughout the project cycle. Accurate entry of beneficiary and service provider data in specified formats such Excel and SPSS as well as conducting data verification and cleaning. The role will also involve compiling daily update reports on project data capturing highlighting any challenges and support needs and attending programme meetings, compile and circulate minutes as well as filing them as required.

What we are looking for
At least ‘A’ level education, Mathematics at ‘O’ level mandatory, Strong verbal and written communication skills including report writing skills, Good understanding and knowledge of the local situation and community dynamics including cultural, gender and protection issues, Know how to effectively convey information, in local languages (Shona or Ndebele) and in English; Expertise to enter, transcribe, record, maintain data/ information in written or electronic forms (previous experience in enumeration preferred)

The role will provide technical leadership in researching, developing and implementing innovative WaSH and laundry solutions that reduce and enable redistribution of related household level care work in selected districts. The position will involve applying operational and specialist technical skills and knowledge to support and implement operational plans and projects to deliver superior operational performance. The PHE will also be responsible for facilitating the participatory identification/ mapping of sites for improved water and laundry facilities as well as managing the relationship between Oxfam and Unilever on technical design elements.

What we are looking for

Post graduate qualification in a related field will be a strong advantage. Reporting to the Logistics & Admin Officer. This role will be required to provide transport support services by driving Oxfam vehicles in a responsible manner ensuring the safety of both the passengers and the vehicles in line with local statutory regulations and Oxfam policy. In addition, the driver will be expected to perform a variety of associated tasks including maintenance of vehicles in order to deliver a superior level of service and support.

What we are looking for

CATER Zimbabwe seeks to create an educated and conscious Zimbabwe by researching, advocating and providing assistance and awareness on access to education and human rights issues for sustainable development. The organization is seeking the services of four research officers who will report to the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and the Field Officer.

Job summary
Reporting to the Field Officer and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, the Research Officers will be responsible for identifying and registering beneficiaries in target areas around the country according to set criteria. They will conduct all roles pertaining to research and they will be part of any other program activities. Field Officers will also be responsible for conducting most of the field work with the Field Officer and they will also be involved in planning, monitoring and evaluation of all program activities.

Knowledge and skills required
A degree in Social Work, Development Studies or related field from a reputable institution; Knowledge of humanitarian work in a non-profit environment a must; Minimum of two years’ experience in an NGO setting; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Should have a strong Christian background; IT skills a must, particularly in Statistical Packages.

Two (2) Medical Laboratory Scientists: UZ-UCSF

UZ-UCSF Collaborative Research Programme is seeking suitable trained and qualified applicants to fill the post of Medical Laboratory Scientist. The posts are for a period of 7 months only.

Qualifications
Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent; Registered with the Medical Laboratory & Clinical Scientists Council of Zimbabwe; At least 2-3 years’ experience; Computer literate.

Responsibilities
Receive biological samples from the clinic and check for adequacy and conformity to UZ-UCSF quality standards and process accordingly; To perform HIV (Elisa, Western Blot, Rapid Tests) HSV-2, Syphilis and Chlamydia; To harvest archive PBMCs as per protocol specific SOP; To culture and identify organisms and do susceptibility testing for organisms isolated; To perform molecular techniques – DNA/RNA PCR and SDA PCR; To conduct testing in Hematology and Biochemistry; To identify malarial parasites from stained smears; Perform full blood count, interpret results and make blood smear where manual differential is needed; Maintain an accurate inventory of all laboratory items to ensure that laboratory services will not be compromised; Must have excellent intergroup relations as well as excellent communication skills; Perform any other duties assigned by the Laboratory Manager.
