Summary
Looking for 7 interns to work with our dynamic Outgrowers team during this procurement season. The interns will have the opportunity to work with one of Africa’s largest commodity companies.

These positions will assist the IETC Outgrowers team who have been working with partnering organizations in the Livelihoods and Food Security Program (LFSP) introducing sesame into various areas in Mashonaland West, Central and Midlands.

The assignment will consist of providing administrative and clerical assistance to Procurement Officers and Field Extension Staff at mobile procurement points and rural depots.

Interns will be required to undergo extensive travel throughout the internship period and work in the rural areas where we will have central depots and assist with mobile buying points that will cater to our widespread farming communities.

Due to the heavy amount of projected farmer traffic during this seasons sesame procurement it is vital for the interns to have a possess good arithmetic, clerical skills with agronomic training being of benefit.

Ideal candidates would be students studying procurement/purchase and supply related degrees. Or recent graduates of such degrees.

The incumbent will be responsible for finance and administrative support ensuring day to day financial management functions and general office operations and procedures. The Finance and Admin Assistant will work closely with the Finance/Admin Officer and program staff.

Responsibilities
The finance and admin intern will assist in reviewing all payment requests and disbursement of funds ensuring proper coding and approvals. The intern will also ensure that purchasing and procurement is done as per procurement procedures and meet donor specific requirements by reviewing purchase requests for completeness & approvals, preparing requests for quotations to suppliers, analysing quotations and preparation of bid summary analysis; Implementing administrative and management policies and procedures; Efficient and effective oversight of project advances ensuring that all advances taken in a given month are liquidated appropriately. Assist in the filing and the monthly scanning of financial and programme documents and also assist in the monthly internal audit. The intern will also assist with the archiving of financial and program documents.

Qualifications
Students studying towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Higher National Diploma in Accounting from a recognised College/ University with support letters from their learning institutions looking for attachment posts.

Skills

Responsibilities 
Routinely support SO3 Team Leader in aspects of SO3 programming involving data entry, data capturing, data analysis and presentation; Data entry will be of Quality Improvement Verification Checklists, Community Health Club inventory baseline, midterm and final evaluation data; Data entry for routine care group registers information from Care Group Volunteers registers; and Lead Mother registers and routinely enter the data into an electronic system; Conduct routine data cleaning and analysis on the SO3 routine data; Conduct simple data analyses of the routinely collected data from the CHC and CGV registers under the supervision of the Nutrition M&E Coordinator; Conduct regular quality checks on the registers as they are submitted from the district to the head office before any entry is conducted and ensure that all missing information is communicated back to the SO3 Team leader; Support SBCC materials development through compilation of reviewed documents under the guidance of the SBCC Nutrition Advisor.

Qualifications
Students studying towards a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, health promotion or any public health related degree from a recognised College/ University with support letters from their learning institutions looking for attachment positions. Proficiency in isiNdebele an added advantage.

Position overview
Southern Africa Workcamps Association is a non profit, non governmental organisation, which encompass workcamps and voluntary movements from Southern Africa and it is affiliated to the Coordinating Committee For International Voluntary Services which is a sub sector or the UNESCO/Paris. It was founded to promote south-south cooperation as 
well as regional integration and exchange.

The Innovation, Research, Communication and Fundraising Assistant Officer will contribute to Southern Africa Workcamps Cooperation’s work through research and documentation, resource mobilization. The ideal candidate will be specifically involved in editing the regional online newsletter, SAWC social media presence on various social media platforms. In addition to creating content, the officer will work with the SAWC management team to identify and respond to opportunities for funding. S/He will learn from other staff members to perform duties. Responsibilities

Job summary

The job holder will be responsible for registrations of beneficiaries and supervision of workers as in line with donor requirements.

Knowledge, skills and behaviours required in achieving role’s objectives
A degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Science, Natural Resources Management, Crop Science or related discipline; Minimum of 3 years extensive experience in community development work at grassroots level; Experience in emergence/relief programs will be an added advantage; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
