Monitoring and Evaluation Officer: Local NGO

Location: Harare

Overview
Provide technical expertise in the implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting of the Organisational projects. The M & E Officer coordinates and manages project reporting on specific indicators and activity-related tracking.

Job description
Support development of M&E database and updating it in line with project activities; Report writing and review; Development of project proposals; Work with project officers to ensure the collection of relevant and appropriate data which is needed for the project M and E System; Ensure that the organisation complies with donor requirements and regulations; Develop relevant monitoring and evaluation tools, including formulation of terms of reference where appropriate; Monitor project progress, ensuring that implementation is according to the project proposals; Develop and implements a monitoring and evaluation plan and systems for all programmes and projects in-line with organisational objectives and donor requirements; Provide feedback through reports to management, donors and programme teams on projects’ performance based on monitoring data findings; Coordinate the needs assessments and baseline surveys; Leads capacity building programmes in Monitoring and Evaluation; Carry out any other assignments that may be given by the supervisor.

Qualifications
A bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, statistics, development studies, Master’s degree in a related subject is an added advantage; At least 3 years of monitoring and evaluation experience; Experience in child right’s programming is an added advantage; Must possess a clean valid class 4 driver’s license; Essential job functions & physical demands; Ability to travel independently within the district/country; Maintain the highest level of professionalism when dealing with donors, project participants and staff; Managing and Executing multiple tasks; A results oriented person; Ability and willingness to use project related; MIS Interaction with several project stakeholders from different backgrounds.

Practical Action, part of an international technology development organisation head quartered in the United Kingdom and with offices in East Africa, Latin America and South Asia, is recruiting a Management Accountant to be based in Harare.

Candidates must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting option) or Business related field; Professional stage part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA).

Our client an international Bank requires to appoint a Senior Manager as Head of Service to be based at HQ.
You should have played a significant role in the cultural and customer care delivery functions within the Banking Sector or other Sectors.
You will report to the Head of Distribution and the CEO when necessary.

Job Purpose (summary of overall job purpose)

· Develop and implement the bank-wide service strategy
· Coordinate implementation of the service deliverables in line with the Bank policies
· Develop a dashboard for daily measure on service deliverables across the bank
· Conduct Internal & External research on service and propose ways of enhancing service
· Ensure a strong customer-centric service culture is entrenched within the bank.
· Directly manage a core service quality team to deliver, measure, track and execute on the service goals
· Ensure alignment of service and client centricity within system and HQ


Key responsibilities

a) Culture Change
· Embed service as a key deliverable across the bank at all levels. Empowering people in the bank to take actions to deliver better service within the principles of service delivery
· Training and development design and implementation for front and back office service delivery channels

b) Creating tools to track service end to end
· Map the service journey
· Dashboards
· Consolidate all service reporting and activity across the bank in various units
· Visibility of the entire customer relationship
· Infrastructure development process
· Single view of customer complaints across the bank
· Design and implement methodology for root cause analysis and identify opportunities for improvement
· Track system shortfalls and recommend system enhancements for Business and GEFs

c) Measurement
· Design implement Measures and metrics for step change and success
· Develop bank- wide customer service standards for implementation and plan tactical initiatives and the implementation of a monitoring system
Support the identification, design, and definition of value based customer experience initiatives. Identify, implement and evaluate projects that have a medium to high impact on customer experience
· Continually audit and monitor customer experience and support the development of a customer experience dashboard


d) Continuous Improvement

Take the lead with the design of new, and improvements to existing processes and policies
· Lead Analysis and identification of gaps in processes affecting customer experience
· Keep abreast of best practices (locally and internationally) and make appropriate recommendations within the customer experience team

Qualifications

· A relevant first degree in a business related field as a minimum
· Excel & Microsoft Power Point knowledge
· Knowledge/qualification of six- sigma, lean management or process improvement methodology is an added advantage.

· 5-10 years in a service culture oriented organization
· Proven experience managing large change
· Dealing across Executive and other levels

Senior Programme Manager: Local NGO

Contributing to the overall goal of the organization and working under the supervision of the Country Representative, the Senior Programme Manager will be required to perform the following duties:

Financial management and accounting
Ensure efficient and effective utilization of project’s funds; Manage and monitor programme budget in line with financial reporting requirements; Ensure that activities are carried out according to planned budget lines and activity plans.

Procurement
Facilitate the submission of procurement requests from partners in compliance with guidelines; Ensure procurement payment requests by partners are submitted for processing

Statistics
Coordinate the collection of statistics data pertaining to the implementation of activities; Produce accurate monitoring frameworks on a monthly basis that summarize the performance of the project for the month, and for the corresponding quarter and year.

Program organization
Assist with the organization of meetings, trainings, workshops; Assist with the production of quality minutes during meetings and training reports; Coordinate monitoring visits with stakeholders; Overall planning and management of the programme including holding regular meetings with partners; Ensure that project systems and procedures are compliant with agreements; Apply project management tools such as budget control, planning monitoring , evaluation and reporting; Ensure effective coordination and communication with partners and stakeholders; Support partner planning processes including implementation of project activities; Perform any other duties assigned by the Country Representative

Reports
Prepare quarterly progress reports in strict compliance with donor requirements; Oversee quality and consistency of program monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure program effectiveness and quality; Document programme activities in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements

Fundraising and Proposal Development
Work with partners to support the development of concept notes and proposals; Develop an understanding of funding priorities and programmes; In coordination with the Country Representative contribute to the development of funding strategies and the identification of programme funding needs; Support the CR to conduct partner capacity assessments

Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Development Studies, Public Health, Social Sciences or equivalent; At least 10 years’ work experience in project management, of which 5 years should be in senior management level; Proven professional experience in project design and planning

Desired skills/competencies
Strong interpersonal and coordination skills, with proven ability to be flexible and team oriented; Ability to work under pressure; Strong written communication skills; Extensive knowledge and experience in programme management with international organisations or under funding from international donors; Excellent planning, multi task and time management skills; A sound understanding of monitoring and evaluation including Results Based Management.

The ideal position holder should have:

· Bachelor’s degree in a business related discipline with a bias in Sales & Marketing. A professional qualification such as IMM is an added advantage.

· Minimum 7 years’ sales/ distribution experience in a Life Assurance or Financial Institution at a Managerial level. In depth knowledge of the insurance industry practices and trends, current sales methodology, business and personnel management principles and practices, multi-line insurance fundamentals.

· Strong employee and agent recruiting, selection, training and retention skills.

· Proven sales skills and the ability to motivate others.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as solid presentation skills required
· Solid innovative/problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions.
· Existing relationships with financial advisors and/or licensed bankers in NLG’s Bank Strategic Accounts strongly considered.
