Knowledge, skills and behaviours required in achieving role’s objectives
A degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Science, Natural Resources Management, Crop Science or related discipline; Minimum of 3 years extensive experience in community development work at grassroots level; Experience in emergence/relief programs will be an added advantage; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Computer literacy in Excel and Word; A valid class 3 or 4 licence and ability to ride is an added advantage; Ability to work with teams and coordinate with key development stakeholders; Fluent in English and local languages; Excellent report & proposal writing skills; Excellent networking and partnership building skills; Research, analytical and problem solving skills; Proficient in computer skills and use of relevant software and other applications

HIV & Disability Coordinator: Africaid

Summary
Africaid is seeking to recruit an HIV & Disability Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating the project Zimbabwe HIV and Disability Impact Mitigation, supported by CBM and Big Lottery Fund. This role will include amongst other things, ensuring the effective planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of all project activities and the development of project tools. The Coordinator will facilitate all training and training curriculum in partnership with key stakeholders and will also lead liaisons with key stakeholders, ensuring project accountability and reporting on project activities and outcomes.
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy/Nursing/Disability Studies, or Community Development; A Master’s degree in the related field will be preferable; Minimum 5 years relevant and proven experience in project management in an NGO setting, preferably with experience in Zimbabwe; Experience working with children with HIV and/or disability and development issues is essential; Demonstrated experience in development and implementation of training; Demonstrated experience in project management; Strong report writing and computer skills; Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills: verbal, written, listening, presentation and facilitation

Job purpose
The Child Protection in Emergencies Specialist (CPiES) will provide guidance and support on matters related to protection of children and recognition of child rights in emergencies and disasters. Under the direction of the Program Area Manager, s/he will ensure integration as well as teamwork within the Program Area. Key components of the role include program implementation, participation in humanitarian meetings, taskforces, clusters and technical working groups in CPiE and child protection meetings. S/he will lead a team for the Emergency Nutrition and Child Protection project.
Knowledge, skills and behaviours required in achieving role’s objectives
A degree in Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized institute; A minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in child rights or emergency programming; A disaster management qualification and/or emergency programming experience is desirable; Promotes innovation and learning within the Child rights realm; Proven ability to develop project proposals and concepts; Capability to coordinate and operate within teams; Project management, problem solving and analytical skills; Report writing and good communication skills; Team player and promotes high performance by all staff; Knowledge of Child Protection, community participation and partnership

This is a senior Academic position in which the successful candidate will be responsible for managing activities of the Chair.
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Dean of the College of Social Sciences, Theology, Humanities and Education, and will offer instruction in Evangelism.
Applicants should have the following attributes:
A PhD in Evangelism or any other relevant area of theological studies. Be able to demonstrate an unwavering interest and commitment to evangelism in the spirit of John Wesley as a ministry of the church. Be able to demonstrate achievements in instruction, scholarship and publication in evangelism or in other areas of theological studies. Be able to teach in English; the ability to read and speak either in French or Portuguese would be an advantage. Be competent to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels with particular attention to the African context. Be competent to teach in another area of theological studies in addition to evangelism Familiarity with the United Methodist polity, Wesleyan history and theology, and evangelism programmes in the African Episcopal Areas of the United Methodist Church would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
Participate in all university activities as a member of the College of Social Sciences, Theology, Humanities and Education. Make an annual report of the activities of the Chair to the Dean and to the Foundation for Evangelism through the Dean; Attend biennial evangelism programmes organized by the Foundation for Evangelism; Attend international evangelism conferences as the budget may allow; Be financially literate in order to formulate and execute budgets; Conduct cutting edge research in the area of evangelism and publish the findings; Organize academic workshops, seminars and conferences; Establish programmes of “evangelism as conversation” or listening ministry in communities involving church members and College of Social Sciences, Theology, Humanities and Education students and staff who may be interested in such a ministry; Be ready to be invited to attend or conduct an evangelism programme to any church or ecumenical organization; Engage in frontier research in the field; Produce published scholarship to enhance the visibility of the College and the University.
