Department Head Marketing and PR - Qatar

A well-known financial institution in Qatar, is looking for a Department Head Marketing and PR their expanding team. The successful candidate needs 10 years of experience of which a minimum of 3-6 years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry entailing responsibilities of marketing and PR activities.

Responsibilities

Supervise the functioning of four departments namely PR and Communication, Marketing, Branding and CSR and Social Media. The incumbent will assist the Head of Strategy, Corporate Performance & Marketing in developing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies and structure governing framework for the each functions.

University graduate with a degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Business Administration or related discipline from a recognized university. MBA/ MSc/ MA is a plus.
QFSQF Level 3 Certification will be an added advantage. 
Minimum 10-12 years of related experience of which a minimum of 3-6 years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry entailing responsibilities of marketing and PR activities. 
Knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities.
Knowledge of writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media

Responsibilities

Ensure independent and objective identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring and control of operational risk for Bank.

Responsible for fraud investigation operations which also includes fraud prevention and mitigation.

Interact with The Head of operational risk and Section Head Operational & Fraud Risk on regular basis to ensure the consistent implementation of operational risk framework at International branches.

Investigate operational loss events and identify the control gaps, accountabilities and policy violations.

Carry out the Fraud Investigation activities through agreed structures to ensure appropriate and timely initial responses to Fraud incidents/events and longer term remediation efforts to reduce likelihood/impact by ensuring the implementation of relevant control/process enhancements.

Requirements

University degree in Business Administration from a recognized university.

A Master’s degree in Business Administration or Professional Certification such as CFA, PRM, FRM and/or CIA is a plus.
