GOAL is an international non-denominational, non-governmental and non-political humanitarian organisation dedicated to work towards ensuring the poorest and most vulnerable in our world and those affected by humanitarian crises have access to the fundamental rights of life, including but not limited to adequate shelter, food, water and sanitation, healthcare and education.
GOAL Zimbabwe is implementing a Women Incomes and Nutrition Project in Chipinge District. One of the project Goals is to reduce the burden of malnutrition to at risk households through implementation of NIPP circles. We are therefore looking for suitably qualified, highly competent and motivated individuals to fill in casual positions that have arisen within GOAL Zimbabwe.
General description of the role
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Casual Data Capturer Clerks will be responsible for support data collection and entry into provided templates
Key responsibilities
Ensure that all data is entered for all households and saved timeously; Ensure that all hard copies are filed and submitted as instructed; Do data cleaning and making sure all areas are covered as prescribed by the MEAL Officer; Expected to be familiar with the GOAL standards of integrity, and uphold these standards during their engagement with GOAL
Qualification and skills
At least a certificate in Microsoft Computer Packages, Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences or equivalent; At least 5 O’ level subjects including English; A very good understanding of Microsoft Excel a must; Previous experience in survey data collection in an NGO setup desirable; Applicants must be from Chipinge and as such backgrounds will be thoroughly checked; Experience in utilizing technological tools and also possess the ability to master new technology tools, as required; Ability to work under minimum supervision as well as an effective team player

Background
The Government of Zimbabwe (GOZ), Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) AIDS & TB Unit, in collaboration with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and ICAP at Columbia University (ICAP), is implementing a PMTCT and ART Costing Evaluation (PACE) in 20 selected health facilities distributed across Zimbabwe.
The goal of PACE is to assess the costs of providing comprehensive PMTCT and ART services in Zimbabwe. The evaluation will conduct detailed cost analyses at a sample of 20 sites that provide both PMTCT and ART services, adopting a programmatic perspective and taking into account all resources devoted to supporting PMTCT, ART, and associated services at each site over a 12-month period.
Qualifications and experience of the Consultant
The consultant is expected to have the following qualifications and experience: Possession of a Masters/PhD in Health Economics or Public Health Financing; Demonstrated experience in costing studies for national or international programmes in the Southern Africa context; Demonstrated experience in HIV/AIDS programming, and management of HIV/AIDS-related projects; Familiarity with statistical methods and software, and evaluation/research methodologies; Ability to meet tight deadlines; Residence in Zimbabwe during course of consultancy
