General functions
Under the direct supervision of the Programmes Manager in Harare, and in coordination with relevant units at NANGO Headquarters and Regional offices, the successful candidate will work with the Programmes Unit for the implementation of the NANGO Social and Economic Development, and Government Engagement Strategy. The selected candidate will be expected to work on full-time basis during the assigned period.
In particular he/she will:
Assist in researching, designing and develop Social and Economic Development programmes/projects in close coordination with the relevant units at NANGO; Draft project documents, logframes and budgets for submission to donors in coordination with the Directorate; Implement and oversee the existing Social and Economic Development projects within the Association. (monitoring, reporting and evaluation)
Desired qualifications
The incumbent should possess a Degree in Economics, Development Studies or Statistics with a major in economic modelling, a Master’s Degree is an added advantage; Possess experience and training for analytical and research skills, including monitoring and evaluation; Sound knowledge of the human developmental needs in Zimbabwe; Extensive geographic knowledge of Zimbabwe; Experience of emergency work in Zimbabwe; Knowledge of and sensitivity to gender issues; Class 4 drivers licence
Skills and experience
At least 5 years working within the development context, with a focus on social and economic development, applied public finance, Child rights programming, and social and economic research; Strong research and analytical skills; Strong presentation and facilitation skills; Ability to cooperate with other NANGO programmes and regional offices; Previous experience of working with and through partners; Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines; Experience in supervising, guiding and training people, individually or in groups; Ability to establish good rapport with colleagues from partner organizations; Ability to work in a multicultural environment; Good computer skills e.g. Word for Windows, Excel, E-mail & Internet; Ability to work effectively with limited supervision; Familiarity with working with international NGOs, UN and other development partners; Ability to manage more than one project at various stages of completion; Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of marginalized populations; Ability to network, especially within NGO and governmental contexts; Thorough knowledge of English; Knowledge of both Shona and Ndebele is an advantage

PROCESS OPERATORS - Operations

The Job
Reporting to the Packaging Team Leader, the successful applicants will be, among other key challenging aspects, responsible for:-
• Preparing for production and operating machines.
• Monitoring, recording and evaluating process performance.
• Preparing and conducting autonomous maintenance tasks.
• Adhering to operational and safety procedures to avoid accidents.
• Maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in his/her area of operation.
The Person
The ideal applicants should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes:
• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Post Apprenticeship training experience an added advantage.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Packaging Operator.
• Must have an aptitude to learn and be able to work in teams.
• Working knowledge of Environmental Management Systems such as ISO 14001 and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems such as OHSAS 18001 and NOSA.

• Continuously improving plant, process, equipment and systems in their area of operation.
• Maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.
The Person
The ideal applicants should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes:
• HND or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Qualified apprentice trained artisan in Mechanical/Electrical/Millwrights/Instrumentation.
• At least two years’ experience as Mechanical or Electrical artisan.

Monitoring Assistant: World Food Programme

In Zimbabwe, the World Food Programme (WFP) is supporting the Government to address the root causes of vulnerability through activities that strengthen safety nets and build resilience, while also providing life-saving humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable people, including refugees, during severe seasonal shocks. It is against this background that the Monitoring Assistant is required to coordinate and perform monitoring activities within a specific coverage area and provide reports to support the effective delivery of assistance enabling achievement of building resilience and SDG 2 and 17. The Monitoring Assistant post is located at the WFP Masvingo Sub Office, and job holders report to the Programme Policy Officer or Programme Associate. At this level job holders are expected to take responsibility for completion of a range of processes and activities related to monitoring that require some interpretation of standard guidelines/practices.

Quantity Surveyor
The Rowdrix Group of Companies is Zimbabwe’s leading supplier and manufacturer of building materials, namely, premix (ready mix concrete), precast concrete products and sand. We are part of Kuchi Holdings and the Gombe Group of Companies and have been involved in a range of construction projects. We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Precast unit.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Quantity Surveyor will be reporting to the General Manager. In addition to having technical expertise, the Candidate must have strong administrative, business development (sales and marketing) skills, in addition to an understanding an understanding of basic accounting principles; a driver’s licence will be an advantage.
• Operations- project planning, advising on master plans and assisting with their designs. The candidate will also be required to produce a range of reports and carry out site visits.
• Pricing- they will be extensively involved in pricing precast products and will be expected to deploy a range of pricing strategies in order to ensure that our products are competitively priced and that any associated costs are in line with standardized norms. The candidate will also be required to prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bill of quantities and any other related documents.
• Business Development- carrying out a range of tasks related to sales and marketing, in addition to managing relationships with a range of construction and building materials professionals.
Qualifications
• Candidate must have either a diploma or a degree in quantity surveying.
• The candidate must have strong qualitative and quantitative skills, written and verbal communication skills, in addition to strong analytical skills.
• A minimum of two years of work experience in the building materials and construction sectors.
Remuneration
The Candidate will be remunerated in accordance with their qualifications and work experience.
