Entry qualifications and experience
Studying towards a Degree in Social Work, Development Studies or related discipline from a recognized institute; Willingness to work with communities at grassroots level; Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment; Good teamwork and interpersonal skills

Job purpose
The Graduate Intern will be responsible for assisting community participation in programs and production of Building Relationship (BR) communications including the integration of programs and Building Relationship activities in the field.
Key responsibilities
Facilitates effective participation of children, families, communities and stakeholders in programming activities; Maintaining accurate, up-to-date baseline, monitoring, evaluation & research program information; Facilitating community participation in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs; Establish good working relations with children, families, community leadership, community based organizations (CBOs), government extension staff and other stakeholders; Participate in stakeholder meetings and networks at ward and village levels; Promote child rights based programming at field level
Entry qualifications and experience

Two (2) Support Officers: Local NGO

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, mature individuals for the position of Support Officer in our BC Global Fund programme for Lupane and Nkayi district.
The Programme Support Officer will: Conduct door to door demand generation and home visit guide in the district through involving all relevant stakeholders; Provide technical and administrative support to the setting up of a district demand generation forum; Co-facilitate, in close collaboration with the BC team Officer the development of a district behavioural change action plan in all wards; Participate in monthly support visits to all wards in the districts; Oversee and support the volunteers’ Demand Generation activities and the operationalisation of the Home visit guide; Co-facilitate in district level trainings of traditional and religious leaders as well as different types of volunteers; Coordinate the District Office’s meetings and workshops; Make payments for specific programme costs under the guidance of the Provincial Finance Officer; Assist the District programme to maintain financial and programme records as per Global Fund financial, accounting and programme rules, regulations and policies and ensure compliance; Assist in the compilation of district quarterly narrative and financial progress reports.
Qualifications and competencies
Diploma/or proven work towards the attainment of a qualification in an area related to Programme Management, Social Sciences, Public Health or equivalent. Degree an asset; Experience in HIV and AIDS programming, Public Health or Health Promotion; Sound knowledge and understanding of latest developments in the area of HIV prevention programming

A local NGO is recruiting a Finance Manager who will be responsible for financial aspects of the project, including budget development and monitoring. The Finance Manager will establish and maintain sound financial management practices, and ensure the project’s compliance with funding partners procedures, rules, and regulations.
Key responsibilities
Provide leadership to finance aspects of the project, including financial management and accounting; Establish and maintain sound and transparent accounting and fiscal control procedures for financial, aspects of projects; Practise standard financial systems, including implementation of good internal controls, risk management, asset monitoring and reconciliation of all funds accounts; Oversee preparation of financial documents and ledgers; Assure that all grant policies and regulations are adhered to in charging of cost; Liaise with external auditors in the review of project financial management and facilitate implementation of audit recommendations; Prepare close-out documentation at end of funding cycles in compliance with donor requirements; Ensure compliance of financial systems with organisations policies and procedures, award requirements, and statutory obligations; Develop and monitor program budgets, analyze spending trends and provide feedback to team leaders on areas with significant over or under-spending; Monitor and track obligations and expenditures against budgets; Advise senior leadership regularly on financial related matters; Review and/or generate financial and accrual reports for compliance with grant and funding partner requirements; Prepare and submit annual and quarterly financial and accrual reports to funding partners; Contribute to the development of high-quality work plans, quarterly and annual reports, financial reports, and any other reports required by funding partners; Lead the development of the annual program team operating budget, monitor actual performance and develop project projections; Assure that cash transactions are well planned, controlled and reported; Perform other duties as assigned by the Director
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA is essential; At least 5 years of accounting and/or grants management experience required; A minimum of three years in the management of donor funded programs; In-depth working knowledge of accounting software packages; Fluency in both written and spoken English; Must be able to work with multiple deadlines and high demands; Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion
