The Culture Fund of Zimbabwe Trust (Culture Fund) has a vacancy for a female person with sound societal standing and extensive professional experience to serve as a Trustee on its Board of Trustees.
Professionally, the individual will have significant experience in not-for-profit governance, development programming or business experience at senior level. Personally, they will possess a sincere keenness to work with the creative and innovation sectors as well as have relationship building skills for application across a wide network of stakeholders such as development partners and donors, business and government. The Culture Fund is built on values of accountability and transparency that the person needs to be aligned to.
Established in 2007, the Culture Fund of Zimbabwe Trust (Culture Fund) is a registered non-profit trust. Over the last decade, it has supported active development and progressive social change agents in more than 1,000 creative projects. The Fund has helped strengthen Community Based Organizations (CBOs) capacities, assisted women and youth empowerment interventions, enhanced community livelihoods capacities and fostered citizen rights awareness. A unique enabler within Zimbabwean society, the Culture Fund is unique in helping build creative capacities through investing resources in actions that enable mainstreaming of innovative solutions into sustainable development interventions.

Governance, Advocacy and Human Rights Programme Review: Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD)

Background
CAFOD is seeking a consultant to conduct a review of its Governance, Advocacy and Human Rights Programme. Through the Programme, CAFOD seeks to enhance democratisation processes and civic participation through effective engagement and advocacy by the Catholic Church and civil society partners in Zimbabwe. Purpose of the assignment
Implementation of the 2013-2018 Country Strategy is ending, and CAFOD is engaged in a process of reviewing the 2013 - 2018 and coming up with a new CSP which would guide the organization’s operations over the next 5 years. The purpose of the assignment is therefore to capture lessons learnt from implementing the 2013-2018 CSP and inform the Governance, Advocacy, and Human Rights Programme priorities for the next five years.
Key activities will include
Holding consultative meetings with CAFOD staff members and partners that CAFOD currently supports within the Governance, Advocacy, and Human Rights Programme, with the aim of capturing lessons and experiences, and reviewing the performance of the Programme against the 2013 – 2018 CSP; Producing a discussion document capturing lessons and experiences (including results and impact) achieved through implementing thematic priorities in the 2018 – 2018 CSP, gaps and suggested recommendations for future programming; Presenting findings during a partners’ reflection workshop, and assist in the development of a new Governance, Advocacy, and Human Rights Programme theory of change, setting out a new programme goal, and assist in coming up with clear objectives to achieve the programme goal.
Qualifications and competencies
A minimum of a post-graduate University degree in social sciences, Development, Research, or other related fields; Experience with result-based management evaluation methodologies; Evidence of experience in conducting evaluations of governance, human rights and/ or advocacy programmes to a successful conclusion; Substantial expertise in institutional analysis and diagnosis and in developing programme strategies, with particular experience in the governance, human rights or advocacy sectors; Good knowledge of the social context of Zimbabwe
Timeframe
The assignment is expected to be carried out within 15 working days. Actual starting dates will be agreed with the successful consultant(s)

Scope of work and responsibilities

Duration
Reporting to the Partnerships Specialist and under the overall supervision of the Chief of PME; a Partnerships Volunteer is needed at the UNICEF Zimbabwe Country Office (ZCO) for a period of 10 (ten) months.
Requirements for volunteer
An Advanced Social Science degree; Good analytical and problem-solving skills; Meticulous and pays attention to detail; Good writing and coordination skills.

Executive Secretary: Kuumba Foundation (KF)

Job purpose
The three to five-day volunteer job is in support of KF’s strategic focus which ensures increased availability and access to practical life and technical skills training for children, youth and adults. The position entails 1) facilitating existing capacity, 2) creates linkages with appropriate donor and related agencies / organizations engaged in children and youth development as well as adult 
training. Through the initiative KF will collaborate closely with the community, private sector, policy makers, legislators, media, and donors.
Basic function
The Executive Secretary is the principal person ensuring the management of the office, communication with KF Coordinator and board / volunteer staff / others, appropriate coordination, implementation of program activities, reporting to volunteers, board members, and collaborators.
Major activities of the job
Works closely with KF and partners giving guidance and managerial assistance to support implementation of project objectives and KF objectives; Facilitates all project activities and effectively reports on the same; Supports the Coordinators; Compiles and circulates board and staff minutes, prepares electronic communications, newsletters, monthly, mid-term and annual reports; Sets up and maintains a viable filing system; Anticipates, proposes, plans and gives timely advice in regards to programme, human resources, financial and other needs’ adjustments; Ensures that volunteers submit needed information / documentation regularly and initiates preparation of reports.
Education experience and key competencies
Certificate of training; A minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in a similar or related role with strengths of thoroughness, reliability, punctuality, self-initiative, writing competence, communication clarity, confidence, and organizational skills; Experience of preparing project documentation notably internal and donor narrative and financial reports, programme updates, budgets, and contracts; Experience of convening and documenting meetings of different actors, building alliances to deliver greater change; Experience of undertaking high level representation at stakeholder, NGO’s and other meetings; Experience conducting desk studies and reviews (comparative) and production quality assessment reports; Internet research and profiling skills in regards to calls for proposals; Good relationship and team management skills; Excellent interpersonal skills.
