Full Stack Java Software Engineer
Post Description
As a member of an agile delivery team, performs analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation of new and existing software applications, features and functionality in accordance with business requirements in an Angular, Java, Oracle, and PostgreSQL environment.
General Responsibilities:
- Work as a member of a team to design, implement, debug and maintain complex web applications.
- Write unit tests, application code, tooling or other software as needed to satisfy business requirements.
- Experience writing SOAP, REST Web Services, Angular 5, HTML5 and CSS.
- Work closely with the scrum master and product owner to understand requirements and design software solutions to satisfy requirements.
- Collaborate with a team of software engineers and testers, using a scrum based agile software development methodology.
- Partner with embedded testers to debug software issues and ensure robust software quality.
- Integrate software with existing systems, and understand new technologies for implementation.
- Write technical documentation of system changes in conformance with department standards.

Qualifications and Experience:
- BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Previous software development experience (2-5 years) in Java and large, complex databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle experience preferred)
- Experience building and consuming RESTful or SOAP APIs for web services
- Experience building Web Applications using Spring, Maven, HTML5, CSS, Maven and Karma
- Experience with Postman, JUnit, profilers, Jenkins Continuous Integration and GIT
- SQL database experience (schema & query design)
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

Call for 100 Volunteer Mentors for Ready to Lead Project- Zimbabwe Young Positives
Are you are a young woman between the ages of 18-30 living in Bulawayo, Chitungwiza, Gutu or Masvingo?
Do you have a passion for supporting adolescent girls and young women living with HIV by being a role model and speaking up for their rights and about their issues? Do you wish to make a difference in your community and improve your leadership skills? Do you have skills or experiences that would enable you to be a great mentor?
If you have answered YES! To most of the questions above, you are the person we are looking for! Zimbabwe Young Positives (ZY+) is recruiting 100 volunteer mentors for READY To Lead, which is going to build the capacity of young women and adolescent girls in Zimbabwe through a two year mentorship and advocacy project.
Zimbabwe Young Positives (ZY+) Is a Network for young people & adolescents living with HIV, aims to mobilize and coordinate A/YPLHIV to influence change and access information and services in all their diversity, you can find us at at number 28 Divine Road Milton Park, Harare
READY stands for Resilient, Empowered Adolescents and Young People, and READY to Lead is all about young women’s leadership!

Quality Control Lab Person
Location: Bulawayo
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Conduct frequent checks of diapers by making sure the application of adhesives is applied correctly, (leg elastics, barrier, back sheet, top sheet, etc)
• Check glue application by placing the diaper into an ultraviolet box which detects the amount of glue in the diaper
• Check construction of diaper
• Monitoring diaper elastics and barriers by making use of an oven to identify leakage
• Conduct an absorbency test by making use of specialised equipment
• Liaise with glue person and chief engineer should there be any glue inconsistencies
• Check sap distribution, re-wetness, and end seal
• Conduct test on the strength of side tabs
• Knowledge of diaper construction
• Knowledge of raw material
• Authority to prevent a bad batch from being distributed.
• Full quality check every 30 minutes.
