Field work
Conduct home visits as needed to follow-up patients who have defaulted, or otherwise need to be summoned to the clinic. Accompany patients as needed to hospital, pharmacy, referral centers, etc.

Assist nurses as needed with patient visits, with baby minding, and other non-clinical duties.
Qualifications

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
The Mechanical Engineer directly supervises and manages the team of 8 technicians responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing all mechanical building systems installed at the U.S. Embassy including the Building Automation System (BAS), chiller plant, air handling units, Variable Air Volume (VAV) System, potable water treatment plant and distribution system, sanitary sewage and storm water management systems, grounds irrigation system, swimming pool filtration, oil/water separator system, diesel engines, fire suppression system, fuel storage system, and other auxiliary mechanical systems. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION 
Under the supervision of the Supervisory Mechanical Engineer, the Maintenance Mechanic – Plumbing performs skilled maintenance and repair work on mechanical and plumbing systems throughout the New Embassy Compound (NEC). The incumbent operates, maintains, and repairs general mechanical systems, including domestic hot and cold water distribution systems, pumps, wastewater piping systems, storm water management systems, chilled water systems, potable water and wastewater treatment facilities, swimming pool equipment, fire suppression systems, compressed air systems, and irrigation systems.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

The U.S. Mission in Harare is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Electrical Controls Technician.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
The Electrical Controls Technician performs skilled diagnosis, maintenance and repair work on electrical control systems throughout the New Embassy Compound (NEC). The incumbent will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, routine service, testing, and replacement of the automated electrical equipment. The incumbent will assist in the programming of the control devices and their interface with the Building Automation System (BAS). Will ensure that servicing and repairs are per the manufacturer’s guidance, meet International Building Code standards, and that equipment is kept functioning at peak efficiency at all times. The incumbent will be supervised by Supervisory Electrical Engineer.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

1. EDUCATION: Completion of secondary school required. Successful completion of a minimum two year specialized vocational training program from an accredited institute recognized as producing journeyman level electricians. 2. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years experience working at the journeyman level in the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial building electrical systems including power generation and distribution systems, grounding, and digital building controls and automated systems.
3. LANGUAGE: Level III (Good working knowledge) spoken and written of English is required.
4. JOB KNOWLEDGE: The incumbent must have detailed technical knowledge of electrical control systems and how control systems interface with other operating systems. Must know how to diagnose and correct electrical control problems and what materials and equipment will be needed to facilitate repairs. Must have a very good technical understanding of major building electrical and mechanical systems and equipment with a specialty in controls.
5. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The incumbent shall have skills and abilities in the following areas: testing electrical components and taking equipment readings with various meters, hand tools, power tools, and specialty tools to determine the root cause of a problem, and the appropriate repairs. Must be able to use tools of the trade in order to install, troubleshoot, and repair building electrical controls, automated systems, and all associated components and devices.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
The Building Automation Systems Engineering Technician operates and maintains the computer and microprocessor-controlled Building Automation System which monitors and controls essentially every mechanical and electrical system installed in the U.S. Embassy compound to include power generation and monitoring, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), fire detection and suppression, water and wastewater treatment and distribution, and numerous lesser auxillary building systems. Position is supervised by the Facility Manager.

1.EDUCATION: The completion of a four year Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering or in Computer Science is required. This degree must have included coursework in computerized systems, automation, or control and sensor technology.
2. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years of work experience is required. Work experience must have been in the operation and maintenance of a modern building automation system (BAS) or in an industrial environment working with sensor, automation, control, alarm and indication equipment.
3. LANGUAGE: Level IV(Fluency) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required
4. JOB KNOWLEDGE: The incumbent must have superior theoretical knowledge, exceptional technical skills, and a thorough understanding of automation systems and components including sensors and actuators. Must know how to troubleshoot and adjust electro-mechanical systems. Must be able to interpret sensor readings, and fault and failure codes in order to diagnose and expedite repairs.
5. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have strong computer literacy and hands-on technical skills. Must be able to navigate through the Microsoft Office Suite software to create documents including reports, spreadsheets, cost estimates, inspection logs, utility consumption charts and graphs. Position will work with specialized software like AutoCAD. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to handle a large workload and multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be highly organized. Keyboard skills are required.

Must be well-versed in HVAC controls including motor starters, thermostats, humidistats, variable frequency drive (VFD) motors and controllers, motorized and gravity dampers, and sensors.
5. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be skilled in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems and components; taking and interpreting equipment readings to determine system performance; using hand tools, power tools, and specialty diagnostic tools typical of the HVAC trade to install, remove, update, and/or determine appropriate repairs to any component of a HVAC system including control sensors, controllers, motors and dampers. Must be able to use email, word proccessing, and spreadsheet software.
