The incumbent will be team leader of survey teams that execute cadastral, engineering and topographical
surveys. S/he implements performance management and administration in the team for effective and
efficient deployment of resources therein. Attends inter-divisional, inter-departmental and other
meetings with stakeholders and institutions, like the Department of the Surveyor-General, Survey
Institute of Zimbabwe and the Council of Land Surveyors.
KEY RESULT AREAS
• Executes cadastral surveys, supervising subordinate survey team members.
• Executes surveys for resolution of boundary disputes.
• Prepares work plans for surveys and maintains job registers.
• Liaises with the Department of the Surveyor General and the Registrar of Deeds in relation to the
management and examination of title surveys and the registration of land.
• Supervise and monitor the execution of cadastral survey work by graduate Land Surveyors and Land
Survey Technicians in terms of the Land Survey Act [Chapter 20:12], Land Surveyors Act [Chapter
27:06], and the respective Rules and Regulations framed therefrom.
• Implements performance management strategies and prepares progress and operations reports as
required.
• Determines and recommends budgetary and equipment requirements.
• Controls usage of equipment and ensures proper maintenance and service thereof.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• A Bachelor’s degree in Surveying and Geomatics, or acceptable equivalent from a recognized
institution is a must.
• Registration with the Council of Land Surveyors in Zimbabwe.
• Membership of a relevant professional body (SIZ, ZIG, ZIE) is a must
• At least two years post qualification experience working in both Cadastral Surveying and Engineering
Surveying environment.
• Sound knowledge of Survey Calculations and Computer Aided Design Software
• Experience in the use of optical, electronic and GNSS survey equipment.
• A clean class 4 (or superior) driver’s license is an added advantage

• Determining causes of operating errors and deciding corrective action.
• Conducting tests and inspections of products to evaluate quality and performance.

• Minimum of a diploma in process operations or equivalent.
• Knowledge of raw cane juice processing or ethanol production processes.
