Finance/Admin Intern: Innovate Industrial Safety Solutions

The Finance Intern will be responsible for providing finance support across the organisation responsible for the following duties
• Develop sound financial management system for the organisation
• Receipting of income 
• accounting for payments made through transfers, ecocash or swipe
• preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly & yearly financial statements
• debtors' and creditors' management
• perform bank reconciliations
• cashflow projections and management
• payroll management
• inventory management

• Manage statutory payments and file appropriate returns
• Any other accounting duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications, skills and experience: 
Certificate or diploma in Finance/Accounting/ business admin or equivalent; 
Pays attention to detail; Good interpersonal and communication skills; 
1-year attachment/work related learning experience in finance.

Job description
Perform day to day bookkeeping and administrative operations for the Harare Office; Make payments to suppliers and service providers; Prepare vouchers and book transactions in accounting systems; Perform monthly cash counts, prepare bank and cash reconciliations; Maintain an advance register to track all the advances issued in the month; Assist with delegated administrative, procurement and logistics duties for the office; Maintaining an inventory of all stocks and maintenance of NPA fixed assets, including vehicles; Check staff attendance register, record leave days; Filing all finance and administration documents accurately and timely
Qualifications
At least 2 years’ experience working with International NGO; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or any related professional accounting qualifications.

Our Client, is looking for a well experienced accountant to join their team.
Duties Include:
Monthly Stock take preparation and communication to branches 
Allocation of all payments to cost centers 
Updating of journal batches for lower users 
Check and verify Evolution Password Compliance 
Resolve accounting system issues at branches 
Checks administrators cash receipts processing 
Verifying all transaction processing (bank, receipts, debtors, payments or other) 
Stock accounts agree to the branch figures 
Draft Year End Financial Accounts 
Fixed Assets Register review 
Liaison with ZIMRA on all tax matters and resolving all such issues 
Related Parties Journals completed and reconciled 
Attending to and resolving branch accounting and internal control issues 
Ensures all SOP's are in place, updates SOP's where necessary and ensures controls are in place 
Checking of all stock adjustments/journals by Trading and Accounts 
Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts 
Salaries and wages journal verification before posting 
Collates all information, checks for accuracy and completeness before submitting to FC 
Reviews the monthly stock count variance reports before submission to AA
Preparation of audit file
