Finance Intern: Plan International

Location: Bulawayo Program Area

Job purpose
Reporting to the Accountant, the intern will be responsible for facilitating timely production of accurate financial reports, capturing accounting transactions timely and accurately; disbursement and receipt of cash resources; banking; maintenance of inventory records and filing of financial records.

Key responsibilities
Timely preparation of cheques based on complete and accurately coded payment packages; Prepare journal entries to record/ correct financial records; Prepare cash for banking and ensure correct deposits are made at bank; Prepare funds requests based on a positive budget balance; Reconcile balance sheet accounts; File all payment vouchers, journals and receipts sequentially; Assist the Accountant in the preparation of monthly financial management reports.

Entry qualifications and experience
Studying towards a Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Degree in Accounting, CIS or equivalent qualification; Proficient in MS Office tools & use of relevant accounting software packages; Excellent interpersonal skills

The ideal candidate must be an all rounder with plumbing, building maintenance, a bit of electrical. Project Management will be an added advantage. Bachelors degree in a management discipline such as business management / facility management / related field. Prior supervisory experience in a hospitality industry is a must. The ability and drive for achieving and surpassing targets against internal or external standards of excellence. A passion for improving the delivery of services with a commitment to continuous improvement in your procurement process. Salary range from $3k-$3.5.

Wanted is a Business Unit manager to join a fast growing company. Suitable candidate must have a background in management, sales and marketing as well as knowledge of financial and accounting practices.

Qualification:

• Marketing or Degree
• Work Experience: At least five years of work experience
