Key purpose
This person will be responsible for the implementation of programme activities
Key performance areas
Offer direct legal assistance to indigent women or refer to them to appropriate organisations for assistance; Facilitate legal training and education for WLSA and various stakeholders for work towards legal reform initiatives; Plan and organize workshops and meetings; Develop and distribute educational and visual informative and written materials that promote the understanding and appreciation of women’s Legal rights; Conduct action programmes in collaboration with the M&E officer; Work in liaison with the Communications team to visibilise WLSA.
Desired attributes
Bachelor of Law (LLB(S); Honours or Masters in Development studies or a diploma in gender related studies; At least one year experience in research and women’s issues; Excellent communication and report writing skills; good project management skills. High computer literacy. Knowledge and proficiency in spreadsheets, database and research software. Diligent and self-motivated.

ROLE SUMMARY

-conflict resolution -to identify areas to improve operational efficiencies to ensure sustainability
-evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes ) -identify areas of non-compliance with clinical, hospital and medical healthcare service • -monitor safety standards in accordance with machine and occupational safety act -ensure compliance with the medication, administration and storage facilities

ROLE PROFILE 

Scope of Responsibilities 

As Doctor In Charge, the incumbent shall be responsible for providing leadership direction and management of the institution`s resources by making use of standard health best practices and also diagnosing illnesses, performing health assessments, run diagnostic tests, create treatment plans, prescribe medication, provide health and wellness advice to patients fundamentally with the objective of restoring patients` optimum health. 


KEY RESULT AREAS 

Functional Responsibilities 
• To accomplish the primary goal of providing care to ill, sick and injured patients as well as maintaining the health of all patients, the incumbent shall perform the following key tasks; 
1.Assess Patients’ Conditions 
• Consulting and evaluating patients who have illnesses or injuries. This would involve ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting the results of these tests to determine what illness a patient has or the extent of a specific injury and discuss tests findings with patients. 



2.Create Treatment Plans 
• Once a diagnosis has been made, it is the responsibility of the Medical Doctor to prescribe medication or treatment plans to address the patient’s condition. The incumbent shall determine the course of treatment, such as how much medication should be taken over a prescribed amount of time or howlong an injured limb should be rested or placed in a cast, should also arrange for as many follow-up visits as he/she deems necessary to restore the patient to full health and might also make referrals for patients whom they cannot treat and are in need of specialized care. 
3.Organizational Team Management 

• Responsible for organizing subordinates into vibrant team players 
• Checking the good course of medical activities within the institution. 
• Supervise, motivate and train multidisciplinary health staff in carrying out medical activities. 
• Enforcing organizational SOPs and policies. 
• Monitor the medical activities; analyze them in the context of excellent health service provision and propositions of possible evolution if necessary. 
• Compile production reports for executive. 

Knowledge and skills profiles 

• The incumbent should be analytical and detail-oriented problem solver with strong written and verbal communication skills. Should have the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals as needed. Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to help others is also essential. In addition to these general skills, the Medical Doctor should possess the following skills; 

Core skills 
• Recognizing symptoms and signs of various illness and injuries to order appropriate tests and prescribe treatments. 
• Creating care plans. 
• Coordinating diagnostic tests and other services. 
• Counseling patients on preventive healthcare practices 


• Using electronic medical records systems 
• Understanding proper format for patient note documentation 
• Possessing current state licensure and medication dispensing license. 
• Keep informed of latest advances in medicine and the healthcare industry 
Education and Qualification 

• Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBCHB) degree with 2 year post internship experience
