ASSISTANT
The Public Accountants and Auditors Board, Zimbabwe (PAAB) functions in terms of the Public Accountants and Auditors Act
[Chapter 27:12]. It is the regulatory body for the accountancy profession in Zimbabwe. The PAAB’s mission is to promote
transparency and integrity in business through effective regulation of the accountancy profession in accordance with
internationally recognized standards and codes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Recently qualified RPA, RPAcc.
• Experience in both public sector and private sector clients during training.
• Working knowledge of accounting, auditing and ethics standards.
• Good knowledge of legislation affecting accountancy professionals in Zimbabwe.
• Good people skills and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
ATTRIBUTES
• Keen interest in and understanding of technical issues related to accounting and auditing standards
• Interest in working and learning in a technical environment.
• Good project management skills with the ability to administer a number of projects concurrently and to appropriately
prioritise these projects.

• To keep up to date with new developments in relevant accounting, auditing, assurance and ethics standards and legislation.
• To assist with preparation of comments on proposed local and international standards, consultation papers and draft
legislation.
• To assist with internal management reporting requirements.
The Successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract.

LIBRARIAN
The incumbent will be responsible to Admin & Finance Manager
BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for selecting, acquiring, cataloguing, classifying,
circulating, and maintaining library materials; and furnishing reference,
bibliographical, and readers' advisory services. Performs in-depth strategic
research and synthesize, analyze, edit, and filter information. Oversees the
setting-up of databases and information systems to catalogue and access
information.
Major activities of the job
Implement up-to-date and effective Library Management Systems to
manage all library resources
Code, classify, and catalog books, publications, films, audiovisual aids, and other library materials based on subject matter or standard library classification systems.
Code, classify and safe-keep other sources kept in the library (projectors, stationary, exam scripts and/or other equipment)
Review and evaluate resource material, such as book reviews and catalogs, to select and order print, audiovisual, and electronic resources.
Purchase and replenish library books as per current or future demand
Check out and check in library books and library resources.
Develop and index databases that provide information for library users.
Observe resources that are in demand and use this information to manage resource(s) accordingly
Arrange for inter library loans of materials not available in the library.
