Debt Collection Officer
Job brief
A reputable Debt Collection Agency is looking for a reliable
Debt Collection Officer to solicit and grow its debt collection portfolio. You
will be responsible for recovering the money owed in as little time as
possible.
Responsibilities
• Solicit and grow debt collection mandates as part of business
development
• Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments on behalf of mandate creditors
• Locate and contact debtors on behalf of mandate creditors to inquire of their payment status
• Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans
• Handling client queries
• Execute legal action where necessary to induce payment

Requirements
• At least 5 years proven experience as a debt collector
• A legal qualification and/or paralegal experience is a must
• Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
• Knowledge of relevant debt collection legal requirements essential
• Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Driver's license is a must
