The Program Officer is responsible for managing the planning, implementation and monitoring of OPHID program activities in two districts. The Program Officer will manage a district team (consisting of a Strategic Information and Evaluation Assistant and Driver), in all technical aspects of the program, operational support and coordination/networking, in line with organizational and national guidelines and targets.

Requirements

ü State Registered Nurse or Clinician

ü  Previous medical/nursing experience with particular reference to PMTCT and HIV Care and Treatment

ü  Completed course in Advanced HIV and AIDS Managed  preferred

ü  Experience working in MOHCC clinics and NGO environment

Overall responsibility

The Admin Assistant/Driver is responsible for all administrative and logistical support at the district/provincial office in liaison with the Program Manager/Provincial Manager performing financial acquittals, provincial office procurements, maintaining petty cash records, maintaining asset inventory, supporting production of time sheets and driving.

Requirements

ü  5 ‘O’ levels including Mathematics and English

OI/ART MENTOR- MAT-SOUTH AND BULAWAYO

Overall Responsibility

Reporting to the Provincial Coordinator, the OI/ART MENTOR is a key member of the FACE- HIV program team, collaborating with the technical officer, the provincial and district management team. The OI/ART MENTOR will be responsible for building the clinical capacity of OPHID seconded staff to provide quality HIV care and treatment.

Requirements

Clinical mentors need to be experienced, currently/recently practising clinicians, with strong teaching and communication skills.

·         Registered General Nurse (RGN) with relevant clinical experience

·         Working in the OI/ART department for at least 2 years is desirable.

·         Completed MOHCC HIT training and/or Advanced HIV management training

·         Holds a Rapid HIV testing certificate

·         Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills

·         Knowledge of key stakeholders in health sector

·         Experience in quality improvement practices and/or program monitoring skills and experience

·         Willingness and availability to travel to projects throughout the province

·         Ability to work independently and as a team player.
