Orthotic/Prosthetic Technician
Location: Harare
We are seeking a self-motivated and service oriented individual interested in a career with Zim Orthotics and Prosthetics.
Job description
• The Orthotic/Prosthetic Technician supports the Orthotist and/or Prosthetist in providing care to patients with disabling conditions of the limbs and spine by fabricating orthoses and their components. 
• Under the guidance and consultation with the clinician, the technician fabricates the orthoses and/or positive molds to provide maximum fit, function, cosmetics and workmanship. 
• The technician also repairs and maintains the orthotic and/or prosthetic devices. 
• The technician is expected to keep abreast of all new fabricating techniques, must be familiar with the properties of pertinent materials and must be skilled in the use of appropriate equipment
Qualifications
• Diploma/Degree in Orthotist/Prosthetist
• At least 6 months experience in a relevant area. 
• Further training will be provided to match high technology for prosthetic functions.

Job description:
The Candidate should be confident, mature, and able to hold their own in a board room setting. You must have the skill to work with a wide section of professionals. The role fundamentally relates to understanding the financials of trading businesses in a very detailed bottom up way, and being able to distil that information into presentations and reports that can then be consumed by a wider, non-specialist audience. Specific tasks include:
• To prepare detailed financial forecasts for operations within the Group
• To develop, maintain and improve financial and operational models
• To develop maintain and improve reporting templates for operations within the group.
• To critically review regular reporting coming from operations and ensure that the information therein is clear and correct.
• To prepare recommendations on capital allocation within the group
• To be a senior advisor by assisting operational MDs run and understand their business in line with financial engineering products
Candidate must:
• Be able to condense and present data clearly and confidently to non-specialists
• Be highly numerate and have strong technical skills (not necessarily in finance)
• Be prepared to travel regularly to operations.
Other attributes that will be taken into consideration:
Any financial qualification
Technical proficiency with programming languages and databases – computer skills
You should be a wizard with Excel and Microsoft programs with excellent presentation skills.
You will be expected to complete a task/assignment with full short presentation as part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
• Minimum of 5 years' experience preferably in Construction, Mining, Manufacturing or other relevant sector. 
• Bsc Degree in Environmental Science, Geography and Natural Environmental Science, Resources Management, SHEQ Management. 
• Professional training in ISO 14001:2015; ISO 9001:2015; OHSAS 18001:2007 is a requirement 
• SHEQ Internal Auditing/Lead Auditing Certificate is an added advantage 
• Professional Qualification in OSHEMAC/SAMTRAC/NEBOSH is an added advantage. 
• Membership to professional bodies would be an added advantage
