Recoveries Officer

The incumbent will be responsible for assisting in the recovery of all debts using holistic debt recovery approaches to ensure that help and support is provided where possible.
The job includes:
• Managing recovery action on debts owed in accordance with the systems, processes and guidelines of the Fund.
• Engaging customers using a variety of means to obtain information which can be used in the debt recovery process.
• Ensuring that debtors are advised of their position and the procedures that will be followed to recover the debt.

• Attending court and present best evidence to obtain the appropriate order, variation orders or suspension of warrants and attending foreclosure procedures.
• Assist in the delivery of a high quality, efficient, responsive and professionally competent service, within the framework of the Fund credit management policy and recoveries policy and any good practice and relevant legislation.

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience
• A minimum of a Bachelors' Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Studies or any Mining related qualification (Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Geology) with some finance exposures

Qualifications
- Honours Degree in Social Work or (Psychology for one of the part time posts with a specialization in substance abuse and or marital and relationships therapy)
- Masters or M.Phil in Social Work or Relevant Degree
PhD In Social Work or Relevant Degree is an added advantage
Duties and Responsibilities
• Should be able to teach at least two (2) of the following modules.
• Clinical Social Work (Casework and Group Work)
• Occupational Social Work
• Substance Abuse
• Quantitative and qualitative research
• Monitoring and Evaluation
• Criminal justice social work

JOB SUMMARY
The Director will play a critical role in designing, implementing and leading academic staff development programmes in support of the University's strategic plan. In this respect, the successful candidate will be expected to work with the 'Quality Assurance Committee to support Faculties to meet the University of Zimbabwe Quality Assurance benchmarks in research, teaching and University service.
The successful candidate will be employed on a three year contract.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be expected to.
• Design, conduct, and evaluate academic staff development programmes including workshops and seminars that will create cross-campus partnerships and foster academic staff communities around topics of common interest in learning goals and teaching,
• Facilitate new initiatives and encourage collaborations among the various curricular and co-curricular programmes that support effective teaching and learning on campus through a variety of instructional modalities;
• Promote a campus culture that values and recognizes the importance of teaching excellence and student learning;
• Collaborate with Deans and Chairpersons to provide curriculum and classroom development in alignment with the University of Zimbabwe's institutional mission and strategic plan; assist academic staff with implementing and assessing instructional methods and technologies that complement teaching needs and individual learning styles:
• Facilitate and support campus collaborations in the scholarship of teaching and learning; stay abreast of literature on teaching and learning and network with I national groups and individuals;
• Carry out research related to high 'impact/best teaching practices such as course design, methodology, experiential learning, communities of practice, assessment, mentoring and coaching.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Applicants should have an earned PhD/Dphil Degree and/or are at Professorial grade;
• An excellent record of teaching experience at University level;
• Successful administrative and professional development experience preferably in a teaching/learning centre;
• Proven record of published scholarship with a focus on teaching and learning;
• Proven commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
DESIRED COMPETENCIES
• Knowledge of the quality assurance framework for academic settings;
• A high level of diligence and ability to work without supervision;
• A track record in research teaching and University service;
• Exceptional knowledge and experience in processes for the core functions of the University and knowledgeable about functions of the Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE);
• Knowledge of course management systems and effective online teaching methodologies;
• Knowledge and use of innovative teaching approaches, for example collaborative learning, civic learning and engagement and problem-based learning;
• Knowledge of use, implementation and best practices for instructional technologies.
