(Assistant) Group Technical Manager

(Assistant) Group Technical Manager – Transport operations and fleet maintenance. The role reports to the Group Technical Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
5 – 10 years in Fleet management and/ motor industry
Diploma/degree - Mechanical/Automotive Engineering
Certified motor vehicle mechanic Class 1 Artisan
Good command of Accpac/Microsoft office
Orb fusion/Sage knowledge added advantage
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and improve fleet maintenance strategies that support Organisational strategy.
Identify and recommend initiatives aimed at eliminating waste, improving productivity, and reducing operating costs.
Oversee fleet maintenance within the Group to ensure delivery on time and reduce down time.
Provide relevant and specialized technical support to subordinates.
Provide executive support to the Group Technical Manager.
Effectively manage the department and its objectives in line with approved budget and monitor remedial action within the span of control.
Ensure that the department is adequately staffed to achieve objectives, that the technicians are aware of procedures for using new products and equipment.
Maintain good relationship with the 3rd party clients.
Ensure adequate maintenance of tools and equipments.
Monitor workflow to anticipate impact of delays due to team members being absent for leaves, holidays or sickness.
Review customers service orders and inspect the quality of a technician repairs before the release of vehicles.
Review work orders to ensure that all actions have been documented according to Service Workshop Policies and procedures.
Plan and adjust the workloads of department personnel to match their skills and abilities.
Facilitate the training and development of team members in the department, by providing feedback and coaching to support improvements in their job performance.
Conduct annual Performance Appraisals for Workshop team.
Ensure subordinates adhere to statutory safety regulations at the highest level, procedures and practices such as PPE and safe working practices.
Provide sufficient resources in support of production targets and objectives.
Adhere to Group Company Policies and Procedures.
Adhere to Group Compliance Policies.
Ensure upkeep of ISO systems and procedures.
Produce month end reports.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Self-motivated and mature.
Automotive systems (vehicle layout, function and location of parts).
Knowledge of mechanical issues, warranties and general repairs.
Technically competent with ability to train others.
High energy level and results-oriented.
Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Should have the business acumen and should be business strategy driven.
Demonstrate sound work ethics.
Attention to detail prerequisite.

The role
The incumbent will support delivery of WWF Zimbabwe’s Conservation Strategy through effective and strategic communication focused on among other things, resource mobilization and partner relationship management.
Main responsibilities
Develop and implement effective internal and external public relations strategies for communicating WWF Zimbabwe Country Office conservation initiatives to enhance corporate image, visibility and brand; Develop and disseminate Information and Education Communication (IEC) materials including print and electronic materials such as, logos, letterheads, newsletters, e-newsletters, banners, brochures; and annual reports on WWF Zimbabwe Country Office’s brand and conservation initiatives; Ensure effective management of WWF Zimbabwe Country Office’s targeted digital platforms including the website and ensure relevant and up to date content; Build and strengthen strategic partnerships and relationships with media organizations to communicate and advance the WWF Zimbabwe Country Office position on conservation and important policy issues; Design and implement crises and media handling strategies and build strong media relations.
What you need
University degree in Business Management, Communications, Public Relations, Media Relations, or other related field; Proven track record, and at least 5 years of experience (preferably in Zimbabwe) in communications or PR; An understanding of and vocational interest in environmental conservation, international development, not-for-profit sector and other related fields would be preferred; and excellent ICT and multi-media skills.

Project Assistant: The Organization for Public Health Interventions and Development (OPHID)

The Organization for Public Health Interventions and Development (OPHID) PVO 31/16 develops and implements innovative approaches and strategies to strengthen HIV Care and Treatment services in Zimbabwe, by providing enhanced access for communities to comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment. OPHID, works with the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) in implementing these interventions.
Overall responsibility
The Project Assistant reports to the UNICEF Project Coordinator, and works closely with the OPHID Family and Community for the Elimination of HIV (FACE-HIV) district team. The Project Assistant is responsible and accountable for all aspects of the project within his/her district. He/she supports the DHE and the HCWs and VHWs within the district healthcare sites to integrate the provision of HIV and nutrition services for children under five years old suffering from Severe Acute Malnutrition and Moderate Acute Malnutrition. He/she is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the project within his/her allocated district.
Qualifications
Diploma/Degree or relevant Nursing qualification, RGN; Registration with Zimbabwe Nursing Council; Knowledge of National AIDS and TB guidelines; Certificate in Rapid HIV Testing and counselling; Training in HIV Integrated Training an advantage; Pediatric experience in HIV care and treatment preferred; Training in IYCF and CMAM; Familiar with M&E tools for Nutrition and HIV management

Responsibilities shall cover, inter alia, the following:
Management of field advances and maintaining a register to monitor acquittals; Capturing all cash and bank expenditures into pastel accounting package; Assisting in budget preparation; Preparation & submission of Monthly Income Tax Returns to Zimra; QPDs Calculations; Monthly cash and bank reconciliations; Checking for the validity, authenticity and accuracy of all financial contents; Maintaining cashbooks and all financial reports i.e. SOCI, SOCE, SOFP, and SOCF; Conducting monthly inventory counts; Maintenance of the Trust Asset Register; Filling of all payment vouchers in a sequential order; Do follow ups of debtors, and carrying out some creditors reconciliations; Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards; Payroll reconciliations, on a monthly basis; Supervising and guiding the Cashier on maintenance of cash book and cash counting; Assisting in auditing (internal and external); Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
